Sending from US to Austrailia

Unread post by timmoskal23 »

Hey everyone just wondering if I want to send something from the US to a concert in Austrailia on November 20th, when do you think is a good day to send it? I've never sent overseas so I am curious about this. Thanks

What concert is it? Any more details?

From my experiance, you want it to get there no more then three days before.otherwise,it just gets put to one side.i would say 9-10 days before is a good bet

Ah, well, to ensure that your envelope gets there as quickly as possible, send your envelope to 'Australia', not 'Austrailia' :) Not to be hostile, but as an Australian, this is an issue I find comes up again and again :)

Australia Post recommends leaving 4-6 business days for envelopes to go Australia -> US, so I don't see why it would be any different the other way round.
Heh - sorry, I'm not interested in 'Selena Gomez' pre-prints, no matter how much you try to persuade me that they are real :)

That is true. I,personally, find it is best to add on a day or two eg 6-8 days

I send to australia on a regular basis, because the magazine I write for is actually located there.

sometimes things take FOREVER to get there...otehr times it is relatively quick. I would say on average though it takes right around 10 days for an envelope to be delivered there. a box, takes closer to 2 weeks.

Oh cool,what magazine? :)

I agree, ten days is spot on! It may take 4-6 to get to the country, but getting into your mailbox is a different thing altogether.
