Any Advice?

i did this one time for a person who charges. she was a villian on a tv show and i herd she charged. well at that tme i didnt have any money and i was a real fan of her so what i did was sent her pics of my personal collection of all the stuff i have of her: like dvd's, posters, photos, action figures, cards and ect. she was soo touched by it that she sent me 2 signed photos free of charge. you could call this rude, but she was and still is my favorite "back in the day" actress. so you can try that if you have any "Chuck Stuff". good luck.

That is actually a brilliant idea. Although,would it be enough to soften the heart of Chuck Norris?

i know its a brilliant idea! ;) LOL (just kidding), honestly i dont know. the person i wrote was a female so if he has enough stuff of him: Maybe!. he's not that broke. LOL! its not like he is living paycheck to paycheck, so h culd be a nice guy for once and sign one thing for no charge. but you never know...

I have to say to the OP.

Either try the "I'm a huge fan, heres photos of my massive colleection" angle & hope for the best.

OR

Write him, explain you are a 16 yr old student who is unemployed and that $100 is excessive for someone of your age. Can he make an exception, or a sizable reduction in price for you. Give him multiple options to have someone contact you (email, phone, mailing address) to negotiate a price & again, hope for the best.

Really he charges $100.00 for his autograph thats outrageous...What does a 71 year old man need to be charging that much for he made alot of money and now gets a pension too and he has that total gym thing.I think he makes himself look stupid by asking that much at his age because its not like he is someone who never made any money because he made alot of money in his career. He might just be remembered as the guy who charged 100 dollars for a autograph after he dies instead of being walker texas ranger. He should be more like lauren bacall or eli wallach !!!

He's not pocketing any of the money. It's all going to his charity. That does not make him look stupid.

And don't blame Mr. Norris. As excessive as it might seem, he was probably forced to charge an amount that would keep the dealers away. I wouldn't doubt that he probably got sick of signing for free only to find them for sale on eBay and other assorted web sites. So as a result, he may have decided to charge an amount that would make it difficult for the dealers to try to make a quick buck.

Do I think it is excessive? Yes and no. Yes, in the sense that it prices many of us out of contention. No, in that it is not unusual for someone of his stature to charge that amount -- and more.

As for us regular collectors, guys like me will just have to learn to do without. When I come upon someone like Norris who is too expensive for me, I forget about it and just move on. I'll find someone else to write to.

I have a simple procedure that I go through when I find out I can't afford a certain autograph: I look out the window to see if the world gives a darn. If nobody seems to notice or care, then I guess I'll just have to find a way to live without it.
