Re: Comic Book Collectors
I got back from the Sacramento comic convention today. Got some great autographs and got to talk with some very cool people.
Mike Grell signed my Warlord comic. He was doing first autograph for free and each additional ones were $1 each. His good friend Mark Ryan (actor, writter, and voice actor - did Bumble Bee in the Transformers movies) was sitting next to him. I had a DVD I wanted signed but he was asking $20 for an autograph and I didn't bring alot of money. Mr. Grell and I talked for about half an hour. Not a word about comics, all we did was talk about hunting and he told me some amazing stories of his big game hunting in Africa. He is an amazing guy and was loads of fun to hang out with. I brought him a bottle of wine as a thank you gift for all the hours I have spent enjoying his work and he was all excited and showing it off to Mr. Ryan, and as I overheard, trying to open it during the show. I already have a sketch from him so I didn't hit him up for one, but he said for me to email him soon so we could talk some more.

Laura Bailey (voice actor for loads of cartoons and movies) was there and signed a photo for free. She is very attractive and remarkably nice too. http://www.lizardbee.com/

Landry Walker signed a Batman Brave and the Bold comic for my son and I bought a huge Batman print from him too. www.facebook.com/idiotinkproductions

Greg Espinoza signed a Batman print and did a free Robin sketch for my son. He has done mostly freelance work but id a graphic novel for Image called "Pug". www.comicspace.com/gregespinoza

Dan Brereton signed a Red Sonja comic for me and added a quick Sonja sketch too. Dan has done work for all the major publishers on titles like Superman, Punisher, Simpsons, Thor, Buffy, and of course Red Sonja. http://www.nocturnals.com

I got back my comic signed by Brent Anderson in 19 days time. If you have not read Astro City, you should. Go out and find it. It was one of the best comics in a long time, in my opinion. You can find his address here.. http://www.brentandersonart.com/contact.asp
How about an easy contest? The first person who can guess (and posts on this thread) the name of the character he did the sketch of will win a Star Wars card signed by Grant Gould. One guess per person.
