PLEASE DELETE OFFENSIVE POSTS!!!!!

Hey mods :P

I don't know if you have noticed, but over the past few days there has been an increasing number of offensive "sex" and "gambling" posts left of the forum by a variety of GUESTS.

They are left by random guest names such as sdfvdgbdyhbd. If you see any of these on the forums you moderate please can you delete them as soon as you notice them.

I think the only way we will be able to get a handle on the problem is to be vigilant and remove them quickly. Whoever it is posting them will hopefully get fed up soon!

Cheers,

Ian :mrgreen:

Hi Ian :)

Thank you for starting this thread.

I've just removed 3 of them.
Whoever it is posting them will hopefully get fed up soon!
Well... i doubt so... these threads are posted by bots/spiders :mrgreen: they will never be fed up :)

Hi Admin {up}

No problem!

I think you are right with the bot situation :?

However, I did have a lot of similar posts being made a while back on my website, and I just kept deleting them, and eventually they stopped!

I guess it might go in cycles or something, and might just come to a natural end, but in the the meantime I guess we will just have to all be more vigilant!

Cheers

Hi Ian.

I agree with you. While I personally haven't seen any of these posts, I know that other mods have been pointing them out. And like you said, the only way to combat them is to just delete them.

Hey Daniel {up}

I don't think we can do a lot else really, it is just that a couple of the posts were pretty explicit and had links to outside websites which were not . . . . erm . . . . family viewing :lol:

Earlier today there were about 10+ of these post floating around :?

Cheers

I've noticed them too, Ian :? I even deleted one recently.

I hope it doesn't become too big a problem.

I've deleted a few too, and have sent PM's to other mods about them before this was posted...

I agree that these people are posting sites that are not "family viewing", I am even afraid to click a link in case it is a virus link :oops: ... it has happened to my dad before

Great work guys {up}

I have deleted a few today as well. They now also seem to post as responses to threads rather than just starting new posts :?

Keep a look out for them :P

If you can't delete them yourself then please contact a moderator on that forum to do this. Otherwise I am now a moderator on most of the forums, so PM me!
