I've got a couple cards I need Virgil on, and do you know how hard it is trying to track down a guy named Mike Jones? I love how he will sign as Festus now he's been fired. I know numerous people, including myself, who have been turned down rather angerily when asking him to sign as festus as he said it was a rather embarrising time of his career.
Re: Wrestling Collectors?
I had To pay but it was worth it. I know Luke turned me don several times when he was in WWE about signing Festus. I guess a little cash goes along way

How much did you pay for him, if you don't mind me asking
Re: Wrestling Collectors?
like 15 for 3 cards total not bad
Re: Wrestling Collectors?
Ha, you too huh? He signed at an indy show in GA for a friend of mine a few weeks back on the Heritage IV card as 'Luke Gallows' and when my friend asked if he could sign the back as Festus (he paid for the autograph mind you) Gallows got upset and said he was embarrassed of that gimmick but reluctantly signed it. I wish I'd sent to K&S for Gallows if he signed as Festus for others.jdawg619 wrote:I had To pay but it was worth it. I know Luke turned me don several times when he was in WWE about signing Festus. Like you I sent to K&S and got back my photo of Kimona (yes, the night she stripped on the ARENA Stage), the cover to Nevermore The Best of Raven, and a '00 WWF Magazine with The Radicals on the cover signed by Saturn. I also sent to the Irish Pub that Matt Hardy and Cookie from TNA signed at that night, but nothing has come back from that signing.
Re: Wrestling Collectors?
DITTO! I'd be willing to pay whatever his signing fee is for each card and for the Coliseum Video box of '91 Summerslam signed by Dibiase. In return I'd provide a double of each card I'd like signed. I'd almost KILL for a copy of the WCW Mayhem CD with the West Texas Rednecks 'Rap Is Crap' single signed as 'Curly Bill' lol...Not likely but how awesome would that be?Justinsdad wrote:If anyone is attending this and can help out, please let me know. Virgil is awesome, he's got a million and one stories. A friend of mine that works with a promotion in Georgia was a vendor at this years 'Promolast' event in Atlanta a few months ago that Virgil was a guest signer at (this was during his last stint with WWE as Dibiase JR's bodyguard). He got to hang out with all of the talent and apparently Virgil was telling Booker T that Vince wanted him to bump at one of the Raw's he had been on but Virgil told Vince the only way he was taking a bump was if he got paid $1,000 per bump since her heard Undertaker makes $10,000 per bump he takes and since Vince wouldn't pay him he agreed that they wouldn't do the spot. I guess this story got around the locker room and the next week on Raw Big Show got ahold of Virgil and choke slammed him. According to the story I heard Virgil came back to the locker room pissed off about it because they never agreed to it and Vince told Virgil that after next week his services would no longer be needed but Vince agreed to pay Virgil $500 for the bump he took that night.
Another good one I've heard took place in Europe a few years back where Virgil was doing some radio appearances to promote the shows. He started calling out some big 'Toughman Contest' winner talking about how he's not as tough as Virgil and that he wished this guy would come to one of the shows. As luck had it the guy showed up and tried approaching Virgil and all Virgil did was give this guy the t-shirt he'd worn during his match that night and signed it for him. The guy looked at the shirt and said 'I'm 'so and so' (i don't remember the guy's name right now) the guy you were talking about on the radio, do we have a problem,' and Virgil looked at him and took the t-shirt back and personalized the autograph for him and walked off.

Re: Wrestling Collectors?
It's been awhile since I have posted anything on here regarding successes ... So, I got off my lazy a$$ and decided to get a couple recent ones up here - I sent to Lex a few months ago - I sincerely cannot remember the address but I believe it was to the church that someone posted awhile back - I had Lex on my radio show just a couple weeks ago and totally had forgotten I sent these before I came into contact with him ... So it was kinda odd that it came just the other day - Hope u enjoy.
