Help with letter writing

Unread post by wanabepopstar »

Hi, i have been autograph collecting on an off for a couple of years with quite alot of success, however i still get really embarrased writing my letters to the celebrities. I always write short letters as i don't like to seem over enthusiastic/stalker like and i never really know what to write other than "i really like you in..fan of your work.... etc" does anyone else have this problem? How long letters do you normally write?

Thanks!!

Your letter doesn't have to be long. It sounds like you're doing it right. Mine are generally about a page long, but sometimes they can be a little longer. I don't get too personal. I introduce myself and say what I like about the person, what I admire about them, how long I've been a fan, etc.

I usually try not to go on long because they might not have time to read it all.

I used to write half page letters (if even). Now I generally write one page. I like to handwrite my letters, but on occasion I type them also. The longest letter I've ever sent was 3 handwritten pages (bear in mind, I have very small handwriting) to the author of my favorite novel. I actually did not even request an autograph when I sent it.

Hi, thanks, am reassured that my letters are not too short now. I always handwrite my letters as well so that takes up more room for me than typing does. And i agree, i try to keep my letters short because i appreciate that these people probably get hundeds of letters and it all takes time for them. Thanks
