Via Venue - Concert.. I NEED HELP :)

Okay I was searching ticketmaster.com and I saw so far two people I wanted to send pictures/index cards to sign Halifax & 69 Eyes I've never sent to a concert venue before so I have a few questions.

Halifax's concert is 2/26 they won't be staying there for more than 2 days right just one night and leaving so how many days before 2/26 should I send the letter ect out? And should I provide a SASE? I think I may just send index cards to sign.

Also, 69 eyes is 3/03 how many days do I send that out?

And what do I do as far as the address? Do I just write it like this?

or something else? Has anyone had good successes through a concert?

Usually when I send to a venue for a concert I usually send about a week before depending on how far the place is from me. You might want to try and get a hold of the venue in question and see if they will pass on the letter. The way you wrote the address down is fine. Unless you are sending to one person of the band then you will want to write the persons name above the bands name. I hope this helps good Luck

You want to send your letter to arrive a day or so before the concert. Usually a band will rehearse/sound check at least the day before, and this is a great time to catch them as it involves a lot of hanging about!

I would definately send an SASE and a picture or card for them to sign as they will probably just sign it an hand it to a runner/stage hand to mail it out to you.

I have known it in the past though for groups to actually collect their fanmail from a tour and answer it all at once when the tour is over. Therefore, if you don't get a response quickly don't totally write it off. You might find you get it back at a later date
