USPS price increases coming April 17, 2011

This was announced a few weeks back but I didn't find out today, so I thought I'd post it in case anyone here also missed it.

The base rates remain mostly unchanged, but the ounce rate went up. Perhaps the one of most concern to autograph collectors is that the 2oz large envelope (generally the weight of a 8x10 request) went up from $1.05 to $1.08. Gosh, I still have so many requests out with exactly $1.05 in postage attached.

because ANYTHING can happen.

I'm pretty sure the price increase was only for Priority & flat rate envelopes only. nothing else has changed as far as I know, since I work for the USPS.

I guess I just didn't like paying that extra 23 cents. Well, I'm just about out of stamps anyways, guess I'll go with the new rates now.

...And why I always put $2 worth of stamps on my SASE's For international there are a few small increases for Flats but not for Letters to my country.

Only have one request out with IRC's, to Gabrielle Anwar, but sent it August 2010 and nothing back yet (sent a 10x8 and board backed envelope, usually I send 6x4's and normal envelopes so only worried about that one).
