SETH GREEN IS AMAZING! He's so nice, and he's hilarious when he's with his friend Matthew! Gotta hang out with both these guys when they did a Robot Chicken promo/signing in New Zealand. They were so nice!

this doesn't exactly make him rude, but I sent Clive Swift (richard in keeping up appearances) a q&a of about two or three questions and he wrote me a lengthy note explaining why he couldn't answer them. It was a bit rude of him, because it would have taken a shorter amount of time just to answer the questions!!!

I mainly meet celebs, all sports.
Dan Hampton: Best Guy on Earth! There was no limit, so I got 5 sigs. Felt bad, but he didn't care, even inscripted! :mrgreen:
Matt Forte: Nice, but doesn't sign through mail :)
Mike Ditka: nice, talks little, signs inscriptions. Also through mail. {up}

Met Eric Roberts at a con in February....SUPER nice! He practically hugged me in my photo op with him, and wanted to make sure I was happy with the pic, otherwise he would pose for another one.

Doctor Who actors Louise Jameson and Camille Coduri are incredibly sweet and genuine. Had a lovely conversation with Louise Jameson, just as two people, not as fan/celeb. Although Camille Coduri was charging for autographs, a little girl came up to her when she was taking a break outside and she immediately signed for her, at no charge. So nice!

Last year I met Martin Sheen. He was super nice, which isn't surprising seeing how great he is with his fan mail.

In February I met Alan Thicke, Piper Laurie, Jason Ritter, Samm Levine, and Tanya Roberts and they were all very nice and approachable.

Last weekend I met Barry Williams, Christopher Knight, Mike Lookinland, and Susan Olsen and they were all very cool especially Mike. He was the one I chatted with the most.

I'm glad to read that many of the fans on this thread understand an ordinarily nice celebrity having an "off day" versus just being a mean person. Sometimes fans forget that celebrities are people who get tired, hungry, sick, hot/cold, have families, etc, like everybody else.

I guess that's why we see so many posts that say, "That doesn't sound like [insert name here]" or "They must have had a bad day, they are normally really nice". It's the ones who consistently demonstrate that they don't want to deal with their fans who develop a reputation for meanness. For example, there's a reason why Will Ferrell and William Shatner top the lists of rude celebrities. They rarely demonstrate a generous spirit with their fans.

I've met most of the celebrities I've seen over the years at conventions. There can certainly be an element of "being paid to be there" that can turn an ordinarily surly person into a more genial one. But most of the ones I've met are nice. The Star Trek people are great (with the aforementioned exception).

Lou Ferrigno has a terrible reputation and, sadly, that has nothing to do with his hearing loss. If you pay him at a convention, he's likely to be more courteous. But don't approach him for an autograph without cash. Ray Park, on the other hand, is a fan of YOU! He holds his hand out to you to shake it, asks your name and talks to you. His lines are long, but you get a great experience.

Andy Griffith is apparently not the person to approach for autographs and I've heard similar things about Woody Harrelson.
