Don't know if this is the right place to post this question...

I was wondering about the reputation ranking thing. How
are those numbers earned and what about the thumbs-up
and thumbs-down things? How does that all work?

Reputation points are earned by showing a good success or just for helping someone out. If you click on the thumbs up you give someone good feedback. click on the thumbs down you give someone bad feedback.

You can't vote for yourself Other people can see your thumbs, just not you.
