Please help me!

I would like to try to get an autograph from Arctic Monkeys for a friend of mine. I live in Belgium so they don't come here often, waiting in line after a concert with stuff to sign is therefore not an option. I already sent an e-mail with a polite request for an autograph (I also suggested sending them an SAE), but I didn't get anything back.
Do you think they will respond to a letter with an SAE with it? And do you think I'd have more chance by sending something via venue?

Please help me, I'd really love it if I could manage to get that autograph for my friend!

Just letting you know, SAE is something you should include at the very least if you expect to get something back. So, it's always much better to include an SASE.

And yeah, I agree with Zimmy. If you couldn't hear back using that way, then try via venue. Many A-list celebrities and huge stars respond via venue other than through their agencies.

The venues they are playing in the summer are on the big to huge spectrum, you may want to check with them if they are able to pass mail on.

Thank you for your answers, I'll certainly keep them in mind when writing them! I do have 2 more questions though: should I first send these venues an email to ask them whether they are willing to pass mail on?
Also, do you think it would be a good idea to send an extra letter to the venue in case one gets lost in the post or would that be too pushy?

I would email the venues first, yes. I might consider sending to two different venues, although would probably end up writing to the one which I received the most positive email response from.

I'm sorry for asking this many questions, but I'm afraid they won't be willing to sign; I read somewhere that they almost never sign things you see...

No, I'd only send one thing to each venue.

If they're known for not signing stuff then I'd probably save my stamps, and would certainly not allow myself to get hopeful about a reply.

Yeah I know... But it's for my friend and I know she would be really happy with their autographs, so I can't help but hope for the best.. She really deserves it.
