Is it just me...

Unread post by Jonnoy1572 »

Or is anyone else having a "dry spell"? Ive only recieved 1 autograph in almost 2 weeks. I've sent out hundreds(almost literally) of LOR, and haven't recieved ANYTHING!! it's like aggravating because I see dates and successes on some of the posts and I'm thinking to myself, I sent mine to that person 3 months ago and nothing, yet these people are getting theirs and they sent off last month....

Sigh..... I'm sure this will get removed but maybe we can talk about it before it does lol
If you want to see this and more, got to photobucket and look-up the user name jonboy1572. All the pics and envelopes are there. After numerous failed attempts to upload through photobucket and imageshack, I've given up. Its all on photobucket if you want to see it.

The only truly authentic autograph you will ever get is the one you personally saw being signed. Anything else your just taking someone elses word for it....

kinda feel the same way....i only sent out 20 LORs back in February to Spring Training but until now only received one back... One of the ones that I sent a decent letter to was Mariano Rivera saw people who sent after me get a success and so far for me nothing....i know this hobby isn't a guarantee but i did expect a higher return rate that 1/20 (5%)

yeah, ive noticed the same thing. I received one out of 22 spring training requests i sent out and 11 of the other guys i sent to have all had successes reported of quicker times than mine. I have really only received stuff i sent one or two weeks before and nothing ive been waiting on that other people have gotten back. it is aggravating me as well.

I know I'm still waiting on two from last October. Don't know if they are lost or what have you.

I am having the same situation with Mariano Rivera....A lot of people have gotten successes but I still havent received mine.

Last week i did pretty good. I got back david akers, dirk nowitski, harry carson, and lawrence taylor. I'm still waiting on my spring training though. I only got Mark McGwire back. I sent to him, Milton Bradley, and Don Mattingly. I've seen successes from Milton during ST and I've seen older successes from Mattingly. So I hope I get them back soon.

I know that Mariano is a classy guy but by any chance you think he'd refuse to sign for a guy from Boston?

I would, but thats just me! lol i'm kidding

I dont know if players take it that seriously. I'm from California and I havent gotten mine back. If anything, he should feel good about someone from Boston wanting his autograph!

I've noticed that it's been a slow year for baseball ST TTMs.

I haven't gotten much back the last few weeks either, but you get used to it after being in the hobby for a while. There's ups and downs for just about everyone.

Yeah I figured people go thru dry spurts. It burns my bottom when I know I've got requests out to certain people for months on end, and then I see posts that say one week turnaround and it's that same autograph I been waiting months for...
