so does that mean they're arriving in New York, being sent to CA, then being sent back to NY to send out ? Bit strange isn't it, why do they do that :-/ Why doesn't he just have some poor lackey in NY to sign and send straight back out if he doesn't want to sign.
I've just sent to him at the play, so i'll guess i'll get a sec now then :-(

The first successes that came from New York at the start of the play everyone agreed were authentic.

Now some people are getting ones they sent to NY postmarked from CA which I agree would be SEC.

If this one is postmarked from NY why would it be SEC? If his SEC is in NY why were the others sent back to CA???

The first ones were authentic, seemingly actually signed by him but I bet he received too many requests and went the sec. route once again. Shame :(

Here is what I have come up with, based on what I have observed:

When people first started reporting successes from the play, the autographs received matched very closely to his IP ones - more closely than any other autograph received through the mail from Mr. Williams by anybody that I had ever seen previously. More recently, his current address - the one located in Belvedere-Tiburon, CA. - seems to be yielding a string of very bad attempts at his IP autograph. The autographs received from the Belvedere-Tiburon, CA. address (before he started the play) I have seen postmarked from New York, even though a California address is the return address. These do not look like naturally-flowing signatures, either. They look like the signature of somebody attempting to copy very closely the signature of another person.

The autographs from him received by people at the very beginning of the play were most likely authentic. It's quite possible that it got to be too much for him to handle, and left the task to the Belvedere-Tiburon, CA. address person to complete for him. When I received my autograph from him back from the play, it did not have the California address stamped in the upper left-hand corner of my SASE, and looked very much like the IP ones. Or I just got lucky, as I saw somebody send to him in care of the play in March, who got an autograph that looks like the Belvedere-Tiburon, CA. ones, whereas other people who sent to him in March and April got ones that were very likely real.

So, in my opinion, the ones coming out since late April/early May from the play are unauthentic. Feel free to ask me any questions about my explanation. :)

It is totally strange to me as a fan, and i do feel somewhat bemused, and cheated that an actor of the calibre of Mr Williams does this. To have fanmail sent to him via his play in New York shipped to California, then shipped back, then dispatched is a little odd. Makes you think that fans mean very little if that happens. I can appreciate that he is probably inundated with requests, but this seems an odd way to deal with them. I do agree with the point made though - surely he has a personal assistant with him who can simply do the 'secretarials in New York??

For some reason, it has a California address, but seeing it postmarked from New York means that it has probably never even been to California.

Aww im sorry about the sec =( Its very weird because I was one of the people who got an authentic success, but I sent it very early before the play started, so IDK. Maybe heis getting too many requests. So he directed them to go to CA..maybe...
