Interesting to see where the Indians and Twins are where they are in the standings. Not convinced the Indians can keep this up, though I feel like the Twins are going to have some tough years ahead, especially given their weird roster moves over the past year.

Also kinda interesting how the two Rockies that were signed to big extensions this offseason are struggling.

Yeah, the Twins are the parent club of my local MiLB team. Believe me when I say that I'm liking them less and less...

Early in the season they were lauded by the local press for signing a bunch of AAA and AA veterans for the top two minor league affiliates. I was not one of the happy ones though, because I know that when they need to sign that many guys it means the pipeline has dried up and there is hardly any decent talent available to help the Twins in the near future. It also means I get to watch a lousy AAA team again this year, unfortunately.

Well, at least the Twins' minor league affiliates know how to turn a double play (sorta).

The Marlins are only 2 games back behind the Phillies. The Braves are 3.5 games back. And, the Nationals beat the Phillies the last two games. Anybody think of the Marlins taking first this month?

Did anybody see Tim Hudson's homer yesterday? That's how a pitcher can really dominate the game. Haha. :D

Pretty amazing anytime a pitcher wins a game and provided all of his own run support.

Jeter's having a pathetic season, batting .260/.324/.324 with poor defense as usual, but at least the Yankees aren't paying him $15 mil a year right? And with him on the DL, you'd think the Yanks would finally wise up and let Gardner bat leadoff, but for whatever reason he's stuck in some sort of platoon with Andruw Jones.
