Since i've last posted, I've gotten returns from Sojournor Bolt, Big Bully Busick, Jillian Hall(IP), Jimmy Hart(IP), Madusa, Dutch Mantel, Bruno Sammartino, Tyson Tomko and Jesse "The Body" Ventura.

Got a RTS from Nitro girl Spice. Does anyone have a good address from her?

Thanks folks!

Today I received a package a friend and fellow collector helped me out with. Besides the signed cards, there were also 15 unsigned FCW cards. Pretty SWEET cards! Thanks a million, Kevin! I appreciate it very much. {up}

Just got in from TNA's BaseBrawl in Marion, IL. I left at 9 a.m. this morning for the meet and greet which started at 5. I was in town by noon and pretty much sitting in a parking lot eventless until about 3.

My wife really enjoyed that part of the trip..

At three or so, business began to pick up. There was an Earl Hebner sighting and also I saw D-Lo Brown through the fence. At about four or so, I noticed a guy with dark long hair pull up with another fellow.

For those of you playing along at home, it was AJ Styles and Kazarian. I approached both, who were looking for a way into the clubhouse at the stadium where they were wrestling and asked if they could sign. Both said yes without hesitation. I got AJ on two promos and Kazarian on a pair as well.

Then, I told them which door I'd seen D-Lo poking his head out of and they went in.

At that time, this parking attendant starts yelling at me.. I'm figuring.. Oh crap, I'm busted.. No more happy time for me...

Instead, this older fellow informs me that if I want to get the rasslers' (his term, not mine, but one I embrace growing up in the Memphis territory for the record) autographs that I should go a littler further into the clubhouse parking lot and stand because he'd already sent a few through.

Um ok... lol.. We walk over and I look at my wife and say.. I can't believe that guy just told us to go closer...

So, I go to the deepest depths I can in the clubhouse parking lot and wait. Nothing for about 20 mintues.

Then, Velvet Sky, Angelina Love and Winter pull up riding together. They miss the door and overshoot, but go back to it. Since they were far away from me and I didn't know if they had mace or not, I decided it'd be best not to approach them at that time and I just let them get away.

Next up was Cookie. She pulls in, overshoots just like Velvet - who was driving - did (women drivers, huh.. lol). Parks, sits in her car for a while and finishes a smoke. Gets out, wonders around and starts looking over the fence behind me for a way in. I see she's needing help, tell her I know which door the talent has been going in and tell her which one. She sees I have pics in my hand, tells me she'll sign them and it's the least she can do since I helped her in.

She signs two promos for me.

Then, she goes inside.

Next up is Eric Young. I get him to sign a promo pic and a 4 x 6.

By this time, it's almost 5:30 - the allotted time that the $50 tickets were supposed to get in. So, we head for the main gate.

Only per the way TNA does things, Don West comes out and tells this bull story about how the chairs aren't set up, etc., and they're finishing and the doors will open a little late, but in the meantime you can buy one of his special deals.. Yeah, whatever. I think I'll pass and we head back to the back door for about 15 more minutes.

Matt Morgan drives up. I asked him if he could sign. He said give him a minute, he was gonna go put his stuff up. I've heard that one before. Never did see him again...

Then, the group of Tommy Dreamer, Devon and Bully Ray roll in together just as Jeff Jarrett parks his car. I opt to go for Jeff myself, while my wife gets Dreamer. Jeff signs one 8 X 10 for me. He was in a hurry.

We head back to the front gate of the stadium. Still no one has been let in, but we decide to wait it out.

That's my only regret of the trip (I figure we could've gotten a shot at the other talent that wasn't there yet (Kurt Angle, Scott Steiner and Matt Hardy) in the 15 minutes we wait to get in.

Anyways, finally at around 5:50, we're let in, but told the meet and greet, which was supposed to start at 5:30, isn't to start for a few more minutes because work still needs to be done around ringside. Legit, I saw no work being done ringside at all.. Again, trying to sell crap.

So, we go down ringside and take our post finally at around 6. Robbie E, Tommy Dreamer, Kaz, Devon, Cookie and Eric Young are the talents sent out to sign at around 6:10. Don West gives the deal about for $50 more you can get an elite meet and greet... I go upstairs just to see who will be in it..

The promos they give to the people that fork over the cash for it were Jarrett (I think), Matt Morgan, Angelina and Winter.

Only problem with that for me is that Angelina and Winter will be signing for free at the first intermission. So, since I've got Morgan already at home, I think I'll say no thanks.

I end up missing Robbie E because of that choice to go check out the meet and greet. Oh well. I get down there in time to get Dreamer to sign two 8 x 10's. Devon also signs two for me and Kaz signs a 5 X 7 that I didn't pull out earlier.

Then, I roam the concourse to see what's going on up there and I end up catching Earl Hebner on his way to the concession stand. I get him on one 8 x 10 and one 4 x 6.

The card starts..

Eric Young beat Robbie E.

Velvet Sky defeated Angelina Love w/ Winter

Matt Morgan beat Scott Steiner

Brother Devon/A.J. Styles defeated Tommy Dreamer/Bully Ray (Dreamer lost the fall.) There was no acknowledgment by TNA that it was Dreamer's last weekend with the company. He deserved one, but he didn't get it.

Intermission is next and my wife goes up to get Angelina and Winter for me on promos.

Then, the card kicks back up.

Kaz defeats Matt Hardy in what was the match of the night. Crowd was 70 percent cheering for Hardy, though, not booing Kaz.

Main event sees Earl Hebner actually tie up with Jarrett in a comedy spot and hip toss old "Double J". ....

In that match, Kurt Angle gets Jeff Jarrett to tap out in about five minutes. Angle's right thigh (I think) was heavily wrapped.

After the match, when Jeremy Borash was doing the spell about getting a picture taken with Angle for $20, I noticed that he was getting ice handed into the ring for his leg. Kurt was also visible limping.

To put it honestly, Angle looked hurt. Or well.. Angle is hurt.

After the main event, Angle did pictures in the ring and Jarrett signed at the merch table.

Since I already had Angle on some cards and promos at home, I opted to get Jarrett to sign two more promos as it was free and then exited the stadium.

I went back to the area where the wrestlers were parked and got D-Lo Brown to sign a 5 x 7 and a WWF card for me. He was real cool as I'd tweeted him Thursday and asked him if he would sign for me at Marion.

He told me to find him and he would. I did and he did.

So, there it is..

All in all, a good experience, though, not due to TNA being overly-accommodating to the fans. Essentially, when you go to one of their events, there will be autograph opportunities, but the biggest number of them will be before the show.

You've gotta get there early and stakeout. It will pay off, trust me.

Congrats cubsfan. Sounds like an awesome experience. You must of caught Aj on a good day, I heard he can be sometimes moody about signing.
I have never been to a Tna show. They dont come around here very often. Seems like every report I read about them, they are very good to the fans.
