I find the easiest signatures to get are the ones from players who are now coaching in the NFL. You may want to try some of those. Just look up the coaching staffs on the team websites and then grab the team address and write c/o.

I also increase my TTM % by going after players who have been recently signing or have quick turn arounds through other boards.

That might help your rough streak!

Hey I saw that somebody was doing a "Mr. Irrelevant" autograph project. I was wondering if you had any luck with Tight End Demetrius Davis? He was the last pick of the 1990 draft out of Nevada and ended up playing for the Barcelona Dragons of the World League. I've got a WLAF project that I want him for. Anybody got an address?

That's how I got Henry Ellard recently, got him c/o Jets and only took about a week. Just a heads up anyone wanting to send to former HOG and Redskins OL Joe Jacoby he is now a coach with the UFL's Virginia Destroyers from what I hear. Anyone needs the address let me know.
Some favorites from my collection, so far, are...

Favorite IP Autographs: Chris Cooley, Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair, Faith Hill, John Riggins, Bruce Smith

Favorite TTM Autographs: Stephen Davis, Jim Lachey, Peyton Manning, Mark McGwire, Chris Samuels

Favorite Sports Teams: Washington Redskins, Boston Celtics, Boston Red Sox

Ill state the obvious....no. you can't treat home addresses as the tonic for your TTM woes. With the NFL, if you're gonna shoot for the moon, you are going to be disappointed a whole lot more than you're not. There is the (well-documented) exception or two, but when you're going for established stars, it doesn't matter if you send it to the team or their front step, the overwhelming majority are tired of signing and don't do it. If you see Nicks or Boldin had a success, ok. Go for it. But coming up with them out of the blue doesn't mean you're gonna get breakthrough success. Lower the standards just a bit. Try the guys that aren't yet stars...I could give you a laundry list of up-and-comers. And that's not to be a dick...that's the reality of the hobby. I know everyone wants to be an optimist here but I've wasted enough time and money to be over that stage by now. I'm a realist. If those kind of guys were good signers, everyone would have them.

Absolutely true. I treat it like the draft and if I'm that interested in getting a current player, hit them before they 'blow up' and become big time. For every Browning Nagle, there's a Brett Favre or Arian Foster waiting to sign. I also recommend that if you want current players then go after the worst teams. Nobody likes a loser, but every player loves a homer.
I haven't seen any of those names come across recently through other boards signing anything, maybe in under 300 days-but wouldn't you rather have Bruce Smith, Warren Moon, and Sterling Sharpe in less than 60? I'm batting up and around 50% this year on the autographs by targeting primarily former players.

Yeah if you try enough people, you see the trend of what works and what doesn't. College player and semi-star guys work...Pro Bowl guy does not. Its a free country so go right ahead but if you wanna mail to Matt Ryan, DeSean Jackson, Ray Lewis and Adrian Peterson, don't expect to get anything back.
