Re: Be warned!
ohh plus many sellers here let people know that they r not responsible for lost payments or autos and i dont think theres any problem with that..or am i wrong? hmm cause ive seen a huge huge amount of sellers selling on fanmail saying they r not responsible for them...
Re: Be warned!
Look my problem is that if u sell a autograph u r responcible in that autograph gettin to the buyer if it doesnt then u should give a refund, its what i would do if a item i sold didnt arrv. This person thinks ive got his money i dont care no more but sorry it dont work like that she has my money i dont ave my autograph and she doesnt care 1 bit about the persons feelings to even chase this up with the postal service nor provide evidence of postin the item

You are 100% right. It is pretty much standard disclaimer for the seller to say "I am not responsible for lost mail" etc etc.megann wrote:ohh plus many sellers here let people know that they r not responsible for lost payments or autos and i dont think theres any problem with that..or am i wrong? hmm cause ive seen a huge huge amount of sellers selling on fanmail saying they r not responsible for them...

Re: Be warned!
then in my opinion they shouldnt sell Autographs!! Its basically stating "i am happy to take your money but if your item is lost dont bother me about it" Sorry its out of order.
Ive sold to several people on here if 1 off them had emailed me and said "i havent recvd my autograph" firstly i would appologize and then contact the postal service if i had a tracking number.
Now if you send it recorded and it goes missing you claim compo from the Postal service and you give the buyer their money back but if u send the autograph without doing it recorded you are taking the chance that the autograph could go missing so you are saying " I will take that chance" if it goes missing you should give the buyer their money back seeing how u took the chance with the Postal service to send it un recorded.
Anyone can say " I aint responcible for lost mail" take your money, say "I sent it" you dont recv it and they say "Well i did say i dont take responcbility" how do u know they even sent it or had an autograph to sell they cant prove they sent it very dodgy if u ask me??
Sorry but u cant just take someones money then say its down to you the autograph didnt arrive...no..its the dealers fault.

Re: Be warned!
Personally I don't think a seller is responsible for the lost item. In this case I do agree with the buyer basically because the response they sent sucks and looking at that reply I do find it hard to believe it was sent.
I sell on ebay every week (not autographs) and exchange autographs on a different forum and I offer 2 postage options, tracked or untracked. Its simply if the buyer wants to pay extra to have it tracked they can and its their option to pay extra, if they pick untracked I make sure I get a receipt at the post office to prove I posted it. But if it gets lost via untracked its not my fault. If your getting a bargain off here maybe its worth paying the extra to have it tracked/recorded.
But going back to the original post, a quick polite reply is always needed. Good manors go a long way. The reply you had was pretty insulting to say the least and I hope you solve your problem, good luck

Re: Be warned!
lol this post is insanity. The seller is 100% responsible to make sure an item is delivered. It is on you as a seller to provide tracking and it is your fault if it gets lost and you don't have insurance on it. Sorry, that's life. Hopefully someone doesn't get scammed by this guy claiming he "mailed it" but isn't "responsible" if its lost. Unbelievable.jasongr1 wrote:Personally I don't think a seller is responsible for the lost item. No, it's not. If a buyer wants tracking and insurance, then the buyer should pay for it. A seller can't be held responsible for what a courier does with mail.Nicksportsautographs wrote:lol this post is insanity. The seller is 100% responsible to make sure an item is delivered. Re: Be warned!
What i'm saying as a seller I would give buyer the option. Tracked or not. If not I always get proof of postage to prove its been posted. You don't hand deliver them and to be honest international postage sucks at the best of time. I sent 2 packages to the US from the UK back in Feb, 1 took 6 days the other 9 weeks. Was it my fault??? I got proof of postage and lucky for me I knew the buyer, he trusted me, waited and it did arrive (in the end) If i don't know the Buyer i try and make sure they pick 'tracked' as whats there to say its got there and they are saying its not???Nicksportsautographs wrote:lol this post is insanity.
