Luigi Fioravanti wrote:Honestly, 3 months shouldn't be considered a long TTM wait. Its a normal wait. People are just too **** impatient. They want their free autographs, and they want them NOW! Someone send Gus a memo to speed things up a bit lol
Yeah I was surprised it took 3 months, especially since he's retired and all. Just didn't want anyone to think he'd have a quick turnaround like Chris Hanburger, for example. Funny how a HOFer has such a quick turnaround and I had to wait almost three times as long for Frerotte, lol. I do agree though, I'd say three months would be about average.
Some favorites from my collection, so far, are...

Favorite IP Autographs: Chris Cooley, Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair, Faith Hill, John Riggins, Bruce Smith

Favorite TTM Autographs: Stephen Davis, Jim Lachey, Peyton Manning, Mark McGwire, Chris Samuels

I met Billy Sims (Lions RB) at a local hardware store for an in person signing, and he was very nice and talked to each person forever, which kind of frustrated people in line because it took forever to get your autograph, but it was well worth it! We got 2 autographed Lions t-shirts, and 2 autographed pictures of him that were provided. (My dad and I went). That's my only IP (Well, I did meet Drew Neitzel, former Michigan State PG, at my high school). My dad was also in an airport one time, and there was literally nobody in this restaurant there but him, a worker, and Theo Ratliff (NBA player), so all my dad had on him was his flight ticket or it was something to do with his flight. So he got it signed by Theo. That one is pretty cool too.

Congrats on Warren. It made me super happy to get him again for my collection, especially on that szexy Hot gun card of his.

I'm not sure what my favorite signature is, and under what contexts: TTM and in person, the best looking autograph on a canvas in general? Hrmm... never thought of that..

I liked Irving Fryar on his Pro Set 90 card TTM. Now that just looks perfect on the card-even down to the width of the marker.

How long did that take? I have an Irving Fryar card too, and might send it to him.

I purchased an Irving Fryar on a Redskins mini, since I couldn't make the signing myself. I agree it is a great sig, just wish it could've been signed in gold or silver, the black doesn't show up as well on the Redskins minis.

Postal problems or not, I've decided I'm going to stay in the game and hope for the best. Going out tomorrow:

Chris Hanburger
Trent Green
H.B. Blades

Looks like we may see an end to the lockout in 7 to 10 days, if the latest reports are true. Keep in mind, a few teams have already said they will be holding their training camp activities at their team training facilities and NOT their usual out of town destinations. Before you send to any team, post lockout, make sure you know for sure where they're holding camp. Pretty much every team is going to be WAY behind too, so I'd expect longer waits on returns from camp than in previous years. Happy collecting :)
