I know the excitement is high, but trust me WAIT for the lockout the end. You need to wait for the announcement of where certain teams will be holding their camps. For example, the Steelers have not announced whether or not they will hold their training camp at their facility or at the normal college campus they use. These annoucements will not be made until after the lockout is over. This is true of a couple other teams as well that I know of. So unless you know for certain that a team is holding camp at their team facilities, wait it out. Sending your requests to a team's training camp can sometimes net results from players that wouldn't normally sign. If you send to team facilities now, some teams may not get to that mail until after training camp. Just a suggestion :)

Be aware that many teams will be vigilantly cutting players and preparing for an abbreviated free agency session.

Yeah, very true. Also, I'd recommend that you make sure that all of the people you are sending to are still on the same team. A lot of players are free agents that (obviously) haven't signed with anyone yet. Also with the lockout hopefully coming to an end I would watch out for any trades that could happen, if I were you I would wait at least a few days after the lockout ends to see if some people get signed and if people get traded.

I didn't put the right amount of postage on my Warren Moon request, got it RTS and had to resend it. Sent out a Steve Atwater request, and a Kerry Collins request. The Kerry Collins request was a card of him on Penn State, would that make it worth more? (Not that I'm going to sell it!)

Does anyone on here truly expect any player to have the time to answer fan mail? It sounds like everyone is getting ready for a frenzy of fanmail to be answered and returned...no, that's a frenzy of trades, signings and chaos. As rare as ttm successes tend to be, unless you're writing a guy that was drafted 7th round and gets 0 mail, expect it to be even more rare this offseason. These guys will barely have the time to think. And if you were smart, you were hitting these guys home addys during the lockout anyway.

-46- ..did you seriously post about trying to get 4-5 players on 1 item? Good luck getting 1 signature from Johnson, Suh or Stafford ttm.

Hello Everyone,
I have a mini helmet that I'd like to send to Charles Woodson (Green Bay Packers). I'd like to send it to the new training camp - Ray Nitschke Field.

I can seem to find the address of the training camp via bing search engine.

Or should I send it to
Lambeau Field
1265 Lombardi Avenue, Green Bay, Wisconsin 54304

Suggestions and comments welcomed.

Thanks,
Manuel

Re: All of the Peyton Manning successes...
I sent an 8X10 to his foundation w/ letter from my son and a donation and got it back unsigned along w a 5X7 print. All of the successes Ive seen (on this site and others) are on cards, license plates, mini helments... I am wondering if he just doesnt sign 8X10's. Does anyone have knowledge of his signing habits?

I don't have a huge amount of knowledge about his signing habits, but based on what I've seen your best bet is to send a card. Mini helmets he usually signs, but 8x10s he doesn't seem to. Lately he's been pretty active as far as signing cards. So I would just send a card to him. I would send to him while he's still recovering from his neck injury though. After that it might just be better to wait and send a little while into the season after all of the lockout stuff is cleared up.

Hope that helps,
superbowl

You kind of have to get lucky when sending to Peyton. superbowl is right about 8X10s though, he doesn't seem to sign a lot of those for some reason. He did sign a 4X6 that I sent to him, though. He can be very hit or miss, and there doesn't seem to be any reason for when he starts sending the pre-signed photos. Again I'll echo what superbowl said, try sending something else and see what happens.
