I haven't had any TTM success lately. However I did attend the Dan Gable Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame event last night in Waterloo and got to meet some great legends.

I received autographs and took pictures with Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Jim Ross, Maurice "Mad Dog" Vachon, Danny Hodge, Colt Cabana and Terry Funk. One thing to note about Terry Funk...I asked him how much it would cost to autograph an 8x10 that I brought. He said $5. No problem. After he autographed my picture, I asked if I could take a picture with him and he responded "that would cost another $5". What a jerk! Don't get me wrong, I realize that these guys need to make money...however none of the other Hall of Famers that I listed above acted like that.

All in all it was a great day and got a few new ones added to the collection.

The last time he came to England he charged £40 for a picture and autograph, which is the equivalent to about 60 dollars so that's not that bad.

$5 is a helluva deal for someone the level of Funk who's also one of the nicest wrestlers around. You got all the others for free? Great. You spent $10 total on all of those legends and Cabana. Again...helluva deal. I'd hate to see your reaction at any of the East coast fanfests. If Terry's a jerk for asking $5, you'd be condemning the promoters at those shows to death.

As for overseas it's a whole different ballgame and that's what the promoters were charging you.

all the others weren't free. They all wanted $5 per autograph which like I said, no big deal (except JR...who is probably the nicest guy ever to his fans he signed everything for free), but after the others signed they were cool about taking a picture for no additional fee. The others didn't mind taking pictures with the fans. But I think it's odd to charge for an autograph, and then charge again just to snap a picture. Maybe I thought it was a bit odd since he was the only legend at this event that operated like that.

It was a great time and I can't wait for next years hall of fame events

Back in 2005 I had the opposite experience. At a local high school here in SC the main event was Dusty Rhodes vs Terry Funk. Terry was selling stuff at his table but was happy to sign anything you had for free. I got a great picture with him too. No charge. Dusty on the other hand was just standing around when the doors opened so I walked up to him and asked for an autograph. He said he would be signing in a little while across the gym. Later on I got in his line. When I handed him my computer printout he asked the guys next to him if I paid. They said no and told me it would be $5 for an autograph. I told him I did not have $5 so Dusty said sorry and handed my picture back. He blamed the guys next to him that it was their rules. I told him "I hope Terry Kicks Your As$ " ! He just smiled and nodded his head. Dusty won that night and I still don't have his autograph.
