Sharing

Unread post by WCKid »

I always thought this site was about sharing with your fellow collectors. If you are going to post please have the courtesy to share the addresses....If you not going to share don't post just to brag about your successes...It is nice to have successes but please share the address so your fellow collectors can share in the great success.

When people post a success using a private address they are not bragging they are sharing.
If someone gets a great success from a private address and choose not to give it out then that is their choice.
If its a private address, hence the word "private" i don't think that the celebrity would want it all over the internet, so maybe the person who got a success was just sharing because they was very happy with it.

Not everyone is a show off or as you put it brags about there success, so just calm down about it.

Sorry if that sounded rude but i don't think there is anything wrong with posting a private address success but it is wrong if the person posted the address.

Sorry Sam I don't agree with you. This site is about sharing that is why you can type in a celebrity name and get an address to send an autograph request to. If everyone didn't want to share you wouldn't be able to do that. Anyone of my addresses can be given out upon request.....roywilmoth.homestead.com

I agree with the OP here on one point, it's mainly just bragging and does nothing good for the forum. Most of these posts will just get trashed anyways, and they always incite arguments over whether the address should have been posted, whether it's fake, etc. This forum would just be better off without them. It's okay to be happy about your success or whatever, but there's no reason to brag or stir up trouble because of it.

Maybe there should be a separate thread in another section for "sharing", then. I don't at all mean to be rude or offend anyone, but people come here to exchange addresses, to see which ones work and which don't, and posting an amazing success only to tell people that you can't in any way help them obtain the same pleasure, is not really fair in my eyes. And telling people to go research it, is not the be all end all. No matter how much you search, sometimes you just cannot find the address. If you have no intention of helping someone or at least pointing them in the right direction, then why post? It just doesn't make sense. I believe if you're not going to share the address, you shouldn't even be posting in this part of the forum. It's not to take away from the poster's happiness, but put yourself in someone else's shoes. If someone posted a success of someone you have REALLY wanted to get or tried several times to no avail, you'd probably be a little annoyed reading about this fantastic success, only knowing that you have no way of obtaining the same.

Private is a private... Just a respect for that person's privacy. Just make a research ok...
Hey, whats up guys... I made a FAIR AND FREE website for us TTMers. The site is PJsAutosTTM.com

Im not spamming. I would like to take this chance to invite you guys in my website. My website is just simple. Just register and post your success (even your failures) so that you can help others. I am the only admin there so no one will treat you UNFAIR. You can post anything but related to TTM. I only hate spams. OH By the way, DID I SAY IT IS FREE? Yes, You are FREE to look the 5000+ addresses (for now. More will come soon). If the one you are looking for is not in the list, you can request an address and I'm happy to research it for you.

Visit my site and give it a chance. It is not big and successful like this one but hey, if you tell others and many TTMers post, it will become like this... Share your TTM's. Tell to others. The site is REAL and FAIR for all the TTMers out there.

Thanks

Yeah yeah yeah.. I've been told that time and time again. But sometimes no matter how much I searched, I just couldn't find the information. Therefore if 'private is private' and you have no intention of sharing, just keep it PRIVATE!

I agree. If it's a private address - out of respect for the celeb - then show some class and keep it to yourself. No good is served by waving your autograph brazenly about while refusing to help others achieve the same success. If you're going trying to respect the wishes of the addressee - fine we get that but this is a public forum - so if you can't share keep the success private as well then too. private address = private success.

But no one calls it bragging if someone posts a vv success and doesn't share the address, so why is a private address success bragging but a vv one is not?

Again sorry if i sounded a but rude, its just my opinion
