Is it okay to call Actor's Agency?

Unread post by barbearian »

So I thinking to write a fan letter to my favorite actor. But somehow I found several address that associated with him on net. I know that actor sometime changes his agencies, so I wonder if is it acceptable to call them (agencies) and ask if the actor still work there or how to get contact with him?

Yes!! I've called many agencies in the past to confirm addresses for celebrities. {up}

I didn't know that. It's good to know.
Do you think the representative from the agency would be able to tell you if the celeb ever picks up their fan mail or anything like that? Would you go that deep into it other than just getting confirmation that the agency represents the celeb?

I simply ask them if their still a client and if they say Yes, then i ask if they accept fanmail at the address to the Agency. Usually they'll ask me what address I have and that gives me a chance to confirm that I have the correct address and if I don't they will usually supply me with the most up to date one. {up}

emailing is one thing I do with agencies. Be specific that its fan mail your interested in as they may mistake you for wanting to hire a client. :oops:
