Madonna

Unread post by pablosa57 »

Hello!

On June I was given this autograph for my marks. But I don't think it's genuine as Madonna tends to sign with "love, Madonna". Any experts on here?

Thank you so much!!

Best, Pablo

I am not positive but I think it could be authentic. How did you obtain it? Through the mail or In-person? Here's an IP example from autographstore.com http://www.autographstore.com/listings/ ... =995295987 and here's a facsimile from autographworld.com http://www.autographworld.com/sigs/show2.asp?item=1757 Hope this helps. ;)
I appreciate and welcome comments on the authenticity of autographs I have received. Thank you! Sincerely, gghi18 8)

I would not compare any signatures to those at autographstore.com as they are known to sell forgeries. Stick to signature studies published by more reputable members of the hobby.

My father bought it on www.allcollection.net which is a Spanish website similar to eBay but only for collectors. The thing is he bought it because I always wanted one, as they are very expensive, but this was bloody cheap... 10 euros! Nobody placed a bid but my father; he bought ir by its price, but the bad point about it is that you will never know if it was genuine or not.

We were chatting with the seller, kinda nice, he told us he was a collector and had plenty of autographs for sale, some of them with COA (but COA can be easily counterfeited). But he hasn't got it by himself, she bought it to a French collector.

That friend of mine who has a genuine autograph signed in front of him (and dedicated) also says its real, but as me, he's not sure 100%.

If you get that Madonna signs you something you will be extremely lucky! She never signs and don't try to send her anything to her fanmail because she will never sign it. She only signs if there is a contest on her official fan club, people close to her or people who worked with her (as a friend of mine). And I think she didn't arrange many signing in her life, no more than 10. She is great singer and artist, but I really hate that thing of her.

Thank you

Really? I didn't know that. Where did you hear that? If that's true, than they do a good job fooling me.

It's pretty well known to most, just take a look through their website - especially the multi signed items. There have been documented cases on this site as well of people who have purchased from them and later found them to be forgeries. I wouldnt advise anyone purchase from them.

Wow. There was one website that sold fake autographs and I could tell but autographstore had me fooled. Some of them look authentic. Well, that's unfortunate. :( Thanks for letting me know.

Okay, call me crazy but some of these autographs on autographstore.com do look real. I have studied some actor's/actress's/musicians, and etc signature and I am pretty good at spotting fakes. My hobby of autograph collecting goes back for 6 years. Some of his sales do look fake and some look authentic. It doesn't make sense to forge some and get authentics for others but still, am I the only one that thinks that some the the sellers forgeries look authentic? Or he is very good at forging some of them? Like for example: http://www.autographstore.com/listings/ ... =995294869 That looks just like mine I got ttm and it's safely assumed their ttm are real. Here is a link off of fanmail.biz for a recent ttm response for heart as well. viewtopic.php?t=221254

Regardless, I am willing to trust people's opinion on it, I just wanted to know if I was the only who thought some of these fakes looked real...and what made people catch on that this seller is a fraud? Because if this is well known enough, why do many of his items have bids?

I'm sure they are not all fake, I'm not saying they are. All I am saying is that they are known to sell bad autographs and (for me at least) that is reason enough to stay away.

Ah, okay. Thanks! :) Sorry for the confusion. Do you happen to know what autographs were reported as fake? Is it mostly multi signed photos or big celebrity names?
