Re: Wrestling Collectors?
Awesome. I am about to start on that exact same TNA Signature Impact set. I will get Jeff Hardy, Robbie E, Cookie, ODB and Gunner tomorrow.
Working on the 2012 TNA Reflexxions set. 2 to go! 97/99 on card autographs so far for the set. Paying high for ones I need to complete it.
Re: Wrestling Collectors?
Bob Backlund returned my figure unsigned with a note saying that he is now charging $20 for his autograph because people where selling them. And BTW the note was SIGNED.

Re: Wrestling Collectors?

I, too, got Backlund today with a note on my photos saying he was no longer signing for free and it was $20. He signed it "Bob".rayasen wrote:Bob Backlund returned my figure unsigned with a note saying that he is now charging $20 for his autograph because people where selling them. Also got back veteran TN indy wrestler Shane Williams. Irony of that is he's on the card I'm going to this evening. LOL..

Re: Wrestling Collectors?
Went to the Ohio Valley Wrestling Rod Steele Benefit Show tonight. Had a great time. Was very impressed by the generosity of WWE superstar John Morrison. He had sent a book of autographed t-shirts, autographed WWE promos of both him & Melina, autographed Wrestlemania Jacket, autographed WWE Encyclopedia and there was also a John Cena autographed hat, shirt and photo all for the raffle. plus he even sent him his own cash donation to the family. John earned a lot of respect from me tonight.
I did purchase one each of the promos $5 a piece, figured that wasn't a bad price since neither of them sign TTM and money went to Rod Steele's family. I also picked up autographs from Jason Wayne(OVW Champ), The Blossom Twins(again, I love there English accent), The Fat & Furious(Jack Black & Trailer Park Trash), Jessie Belle Smothers, Michael Hayes(OVW's not WWE) and Alex Silva(aka Pat Silva from Superstars a few weeks ago). All of those were on my custom made photos. Had a lot of compliments on them also, Trailer Park Trash even asked if I could get him some and he would pay me for them. Told him I would have them for him Tuesday at the OVW TV tapings. Just wish Walgreens photo lab had not cut off the photos so bad at eh bottom. The green metallic sharpie show up really nice on them also.
Oh and my kids scored an elbow pad from Benjamin Bray after he was tossed from the battle royal. They also got autographs from Nick Dinsmore, Randy Terrez and Johnny Spade.

Re: Wrestling Collectors?
Well...
Just got back from the Tribute to the Fairgrounds 3 event at the Nashville Fairgrounds.
Here's a rundown.. I had second row tickets that included a meet and greet and matches before the doors opened to the general public.
Prior to the matches here's what I got..
Maria - On the cover of a WWE magazine and one photo. She was charging $10 a signature, but what the hey. She's pretty and it's hard to tell a pretty woman no.
Raven - Was charging too, but again, paid for it.. $20 for three pics. One was his WWE Raven promo, another a Johnny Polo picture, which he signed Johnny Polo and the third was one of him as Scotty Flamingo, which he signed as Raven before I had the chance to stop him.
Jerry Lynn - Never charges at the shows I've seen him at. Signed the two TNA promos and two photos of him I had from my personal collection.
Grandmaster Sexay/Brian Christopher - Was charging to sign. $10 for two promo pics (One of Too Cool and the other of Too Much) and two old 4x6 gimmick table pics of him as Brian Christopher from the USWA era.
Dutch Mantell - Signed one 8 x 10 that I brought free of charge.
Bill Dundee - Signed the WCW promo I had of him and Lord Steven Regal "Sir William" and also signed five other 4x6 photos from his USWA days for free. Another that never charges for sigs.
Rudy Charles - Signed two photos for me that I'd taken of him at other shows free of charge.
Tony Falk - The USWA/Dallas mainstay signed one photo I took of him back when he was an active wrestler free of charge.
Cassidy Riley - Signed four photos for me for free.
Wolfie D - Signed four photos for free.
Rikishi was also there, but he was charging to sign at a clip of $10 a pop. I opted not to get that.
Anyways, after the show, we hung out by the entrance and were able to get a few more.
I got David Young, formerly of TNA on one photo, Kid Kash - who got the crowd so worked up that a glass beer bottle flew towards the ring - on two photos, Rikishi on a photo I took of him giving the stink face and Maria on another photo.
The only person that would not sign after the show was Brian Christopher (Grandmaster Sexay).
He was a total prick and he and Rikishi were traveling together. Said the crowd of five or six that waited an hour after the show for Rikishi to come out needed to "heel down" as he was opening the back door.
Someone asked Brian to sign and he refused and walked to the truck they were traveling in.
Meanwhile, Rikishi stopped in his tracks and signed one item for each person that asked.
I got a feeling "The King" wouldn't be proud of the way his boy treats the fans after the card. I've never seen Jerry Lawler do a fan like that. I will say, though, that Brian did take the time to personalize and fully sign his name "Grandmaster Sexay" Brian Christopher and he switched out markers to match color at the gimmick table.
But his treatment of the fans after the show wasn't negated that.
All in all a pretty good night with a total of 44 autographs between my wife and 1 - 35 of which I keep and nine of which I got for friends and aren't listed in these totals.
If I had to do over again, I wouldn't have paid for Maria since she signed for free after the matches. Raven was long gone, though, after the main event. So, I'm glad I paid for him to sign.
If anyone wants to see scans, let me know and I'll upload whatever...

Re: Wrestling Collectors?
Today's success was Ace Steel - former Ring of Honor wrestler and tag partner of Colt Cabana and CM Punk.
Re: Wrestling Collectors?
So my first venture in TTM autograph collecting and I received my first wrestler autograph and I couldn't be happier!
NICK BOCKWINKEL
Sent 8-15-11 Received 8-22-11 (Used addy in db)
Class act, returned my letter with some stuff written to me on it, I'll just post this of what he said
"If you had Ray as a partner & Heenan for a manager you would have been a star also."
He returned the pic signed to me in the envelope I sent. Man, I like this feeling, and I'm gonna chase it some more, thanks for all the feedback you great guys & gals provide, I would love for yall to come out to my man-cave when my wall is completed. You each have a cold one waiting for you if you ever find yourself in South Texas, and I hope to be updating you on any others I receive.
