I've been here since 2005 - and the addresses were posted for the world to see - but at that time I believe production office's weren't throwing away fanmail, and they were more relucant to give the letters to the said celebrities - but yes, with ebay & dealer & spamming up the address within days a lot of people do not share any address anymore. Which is sad, yes - but for the people who have worked hard for the address just for to be plasted all over the forums and ends up ruining our chances it's very frustrating.as I said, a tweak in the rules would be common sense. The movie name and filming dates should suffice. Although when I first became a member, addys were posted here all the time and there was no real issue. Perhaps spamming has only becoome an issue since then? Perhaps the addy could be made public when there is roughly a fortnight left to film, that way those who put in effort have ''priority'' or ''first dibs'', then everyone else gets a rough shot?
I agree - name & dates should be good enough and it should be up to the person who posted the thread if they want to give out the address or not.
Congrats. You deserve this considering how much effort you put into it and it was nice of the person to help forward the letter. ;)
