Return Stamps (UK-US)

Unread post by Foxes96 »

Okay, i'm about to get started on my first EVER fanmail-letter-autograph-request thing.

I'm writing to Adam Young of Owl City, and he has a lot of good feedback.
As i live in the UK, i don't know what to put on the envelope inside with the letter? Which stamps do i ask for?
Since he apparently reply's a lot and fast, do i even need to?

Thanks again,
Chris.

Hi

You need to either get some American stamps to go on the return envelope, or some International Reply Coupons to put with the letter, or some American dollars.

The postage amount can be found at the USPS website, http://ircalc.usps.gov/

It is a bit tricky for non-US users, you need to know the size and weight of the envelope that will be coming back to you. If you're sending your own photo you can weigh and measure it beforehand, if you're relying on him to supply the photo you need to make an educated guess and try to find out what size photos he uses.

Hope this is useful.

There are loads and loads of threads about this sort of thing on this forum, if you get stuck go through a few other pages first, otherwise ask :)

Good luck
