Okay.
I plan on mailing my first TTM within the week. I have found a decent picture (to be printed at 8x10 - that's A4, right?).
My next issue is how would I go about the envelope sizes? Is it just a case of getting some A4 sized envelopes (not sure on the correct term, I live in the UK if that helps), and then folding one inside, or get a larger envelope to put the photo and SASE/SAE in.
I hope that makes sense, it's almost 1am. >_<

I think the better way to go, is buying a larger envelope, and then putting your 8x10 and SASE in the larger envelope. Also, might be a good idea to put a piece of cardboard in the envelope so your 8x10 doesn't get bent in the mail.

Re: SASE/SAE & Photo sizing issues
That may be good adviced for the US, but in the UK, I wouldn't personally use an oversize envelope with an A4 one inside it, most letter boxes in the UK (not all, obviously - I don't want to spark a debate about the size of individual mailboxes here) will take an A4 envelope, anything larger is likely end up being taken to the sorting office if they're out when the postperson tries to deliver it (I was told at our local sorting office recently that most posties are completely paranoid about trying to force anything through a letterbox these days), while if the celeb's postie is the sort who will bend something in half to get it through then you'll effectively have conspired against yourself. Unless the celeb goes to the sorting office to collect it you're likely to get it back RTS, and if they've made a special journey to collect it then they're not likely to be happy about it.
I've always folded the return envelope in half, I add a fairly thin but stout piece of card (cut from a cardboard box) which protects the photo on its outward journey, and the celeb will then put this back in the return envelope to protect it on its way back. (Taps head) not had any bent ones yet.

Thanks, this is what I was intending to do in the first place. I'll get everything sorted this week, I'm sure.HappinessStan wrote:That may be good adviced for the US, but in the UK, I wouldn't personally use an oversize envelope with an A4 one inside it, most letter boxes in the UK (not all, obviously - I don't want to spark a debate about the size of individual mailboxes here) will take an A4 envelope, anything larger is likely end up being taken to the sorting office if they're out when the postperson tries to deliver it (I was told at our local sorting office recently that most posties are completely paranoid about trying to force anything through a letterbox these days), while if the celeb's postie is the sort who will bend something in half to get it through then you'll effectively have conspired against yourself.
