Been a while since I've posted here, after a near death battle with boredom for a few months I picked up a pen and started writing out a few LORs and put some packages in the mail last week. Did wanna pass along an interesting bit of information though that might be of use to a few of our members here..

TNA put out a press release today stating that the former WWE developmental training facility Ohio Valley Wrestling that spawned legendary superstars superstars such as Batista, Brock Lesnar, Randy Orton, and John Cena will be the exclusive developmental center for current and future TNA talent. TNA talent sent to Louisville will be chosen by Bruce Pritchard and examined weekly for their progress.

Great news for both promotions for a number of reasons, the most interesting being what Jim Cornette's opinion on this is given that ROH has worked with OVW quite a bit in the past, and second it will be good for talent like Rob Terry, Garrett Bischoff, and Brooke Tessmacher to have a more formal place to cut their teeth in the ring. It's great for fanmailers as OVW has always been good about passing along fanmail requests to the talent, hopefully it takes a part of the load off of the people at TNAhq that get swamped with fanmail requests that they have to distribute.

...Now that TNA will be investing more money into younger talent they'll realize that they have to use them more often and less of the guys that have been doing it for 30-40 years already.

Seems Dixie offered up some of her money mark cash to Danny Davis and he took it and is gonna make off like a king with it.

The current TNA office personnel know nothing of "developing" young talent.
Furthermore, OVW only provided a ground for Batista, John Cena, Randy Orton, Brock Lesnar, etc., to hone their in-ring skills. It twas the WWE machine that made all those men stars.

Finally, I don't see the next Orton, Cena, Batista or Lesnar anywhere on TNA's talent roster. And if they were, TNA wouldn't know what to do with them.

TNA is - for the most part - a place for established stars with issues to still pull a regular paycheck. When Papa Carter decides enough is enough and his daughter has spent too much of the family's money, the tape library will be sold to WWE for cents on the dollar.

Sarcasm Cub, my comment was meant as sarcasm because I agree with you regarding TNA shifting their priorities and focus on the younger talent in the immediate future.

Bruce Pritchard has a lot of experience working with young talent and helping them grow, Terry Taylor I believe was better at that but he's gone for whatever reason and who knows what the whole deal with this is. Jim Cornette may be in the background offering up tips to the guys on what to do and where to go next, and Jeff Jarrett made a lot of guys look really good really easily during the Jarrett mega-push days of TNA. His matches against Monty Brown made me and a lot of fans believe that he (Brown) could and would become a world champion one day. Personally I'd like to see Jarrett step away from tv for a while and devote time to working with the young talent. It would do him well as his work is stale and it's the same stuff he was doing five years ago. And with Nick Dinsmore working as the trainer there for these talents then you can bet that the people like Tessmacher, Rosita, Rob Terry, etc., will all be getting the chance to learn from someone that is dedicated and knows what it is they're doing in there.

Everybody has to start somewhere and OVW has a proven track record of being able to help guys get started and polish up their game, TNA has several talents that just need a little work and they'll be able to make a splash.

He just needs someone to teach him better psychology and how to work like a guy full of piss & vinegar that's as strong as an ox. Austin Aries' personality is very-much like a 2003-2004 Evolution Era Randy Orton and his work is very cerebral and deliberate. It can be said that WWE doesn't even know how to use their talent as it seems that unless Orton is in the title hunt he's just in the middle of the card beating guys that he is, without doubt, considered leaps and bounds ahead of.

Let's look at the potential in this first before pissing on it before the wheels get set into motion. I posted this to update everyone that sends out to TNA often and gets upset over having to wait so long to get returns, and I don't really think this is a debate that should be taking place here.

Jesse Neal is a good bit player, but I don't see being a main eventer or talent like Brock Lesnar or Batista anywhere in his future.

Aries as has been documented everywhere is too small to get the big man's push.

He's good for what he is and a great worker, but his size is going to hold him back, especially in TNA. And that's just a sad fact of the business today. If he were three or four inches taller, we probably wouldn't even be talking about him because he'd already be a main eventer.

Unfortunately, he's not and I can see him being the big fish in the small pond (Ring of Honor) or a small fish in a big pond (WWE or TNA).
