My advice for people who need photos (please read)

Unread post by EmbraceTheMadness »

Hi guys and girls i know some of you may have trouble getting photos heres some ideas to hopefully help. :)

1. Go to a wal-mart store, All walmarts that i know of have a photo area where you can print photos for cheap. what i do before sending out sase is go to walmart and print photos. Now if you have sd cards etc you can save the photos you want from your computer at home onto your sd card and bring that in to walmart and find the photo center. or you can signup on walmarts site from your computer at home and upload any photos your want onto their website on your profile so when you go to walmart you can sign in on their "computers" and print them off (which is what i do) 4 by 6 glossy prints are only 28 cents!!!! very cheap. they also have other sizes you can choose from etc. ill also posts links to this. and if you have ANY questions ask me! just thought id post a helpful forum topic to people :)

I use Wal-mart as well for all my photos!! :D I submit all my photos via their website page and get an email when their ready to be picked up. I do the 1-hour which only costs .19 cents and makes them the Matte finish, which I personally prefer as it lessens the chances that they'll smear when sent back through the mail.

and a cool tip is, you normally don't have to wait 1 hour anyway, I've gotten 1-hour prints in less than 3 minutes!! just depends on how many photos their printing before they get to yours, so they say '1-hour' in case theirs several other orders to be printed first.

I know some friends of mine have been told they couldn't get photos printed at their wal-marts, so an alternative for them would be www.adoramapix.com which my friends have used and they love the service!

Yes! Matte looks very good! pretty much all the photos on my facebook albums are printed on matte style photo paper from walmart. my wal-mart will hold photos for up to 60 days. And yes! only .19 cents for 4x6's when submitted through the walmart website and then picked up at the store. :D

(if this doesn't work, go to my facebook page and then click photos. all my autograph albums are set as 'public')

Copyright issues are generally down to someone taking it upon themselves to police the official company policy in the small print. If you're unlucky enough to live near a Walmart where some smart alec with designs on being promoted to supervisor one day works then you're stuffed and you'll need to find somewhere else. Most places apply common sense. I had a verbal warning about copyright once at the supermarket I always use, but find that striking up a positive ongoing relationship with the people who do the printing - and facilitate my hobby - has meant that I've had no issues since.
