Wow, she must've really ate her vegetables! 115 years that's amazing! I didn't look, but what country was she from?

That's surprising! I thought she'd be from Europe or something, but it's good to see someone reppin the midwest live so long ;-)

Yeah, she was from Shelbyville Indiana.
According to an article I read, she lived by herself on her husband's farm once he died in 1939, until she moved in with a relative when she was 100 :shock: :o
Also, coincidentally, she lived in the same nursing home Sandy Allen did - the world's tallest person (until her death in August).



I had the honor of her autographing a picture I sent her in March this year, something I will always keep - she will be missed :(

I wrote to her twice and never got an answer, so I'm really very sad, her being round for a bit longer, would have been great, but it's really is people like her who, are the real heroes in life
