I actually DO have an idea. I have 'averaged out' my successes and it's give or take 4-6 months-ISH excluding people like Taylor Swift who took 12 months to answer being that it's an email success...So I was just telling them what my average time was. I also said " for someone who isn't 'SUPER' famous' but other than that I used my personal successes to answer their question even though there is no definite answer. {up}
Britney Spears==>> 6 #1 albums. 2 diamond albums. 8 platinum albums. 400+ awards. 200M+ records sold. Britney has sold over 45 million records this decade despite only releasing three albums. Globally, Britney has more #1 singles than any other female artist except Madonna and Rihanna. "Oops!...I Did It Again" by Britney is the 5th best selling album of the 2000s decade worldwide. Britney is the only female artist to chart her first seven albums in the top two of the Billboard 200. Britney has achieved at least one #1 album in 3 different decades (90's, 00's, 10's). Britney is the first solo female artist from the 90's to reach 1 billion Spotify streams. Despite NOT even being a single, 'Tom's Diner', ft. That's the thing, YOUR experience means nothing in terms of others, while it means you can check your own responses, there is no way to average response times, least of all when you have no idea who the celebrity in question is. You phrased your answer to say that the average response was 3-6 months, no mention of that being YOUR average.

How long is a piece of string? It's the most apt answer.

That's why I said what I said in my post. Nothing I said was a shock to the OP. (It really matters how famous the person is like I said in my OP.) So what I said is the truth. I have many successes and I know what I mean and so did the OP. That's all that matters.

johnnylightninglives wrote:This is the type of question that really does have no answer, Could be next week and could be never... :? Would help if we knew the person you sent to since diff celebs have diff signing habits and some don't sign at all so without knowing the celeb its impossible to even guess.
It's Jenna Fischer.

I sent an 8x10 fan photo of myself with her along with a LOR and SASE to the address listed here which is her manager's office address, and it's the place she said originally to send requests to, although the exact address is now different, it seems.

Her most recent work was a staged reading of Reasons to Be Pretty, and during an interview to promote it, she said that she was mainly gonna focus on being a mom and not really suggesting any new projects on the horizon. And because she's not working as regularly as she was when the Office was still on or when she was starring in the Off-Broadway play Reasons to Be Happy (different from the one I mentioned before), that could mean that she's not signing things for fans as often as she used to either. I read a bunch of reports of hasty responses to VV requests while she was doing that Off-Broadway play. So that could suggest she signs more when she's working as opposed to when she isn't.

Obviously, it's not my place at all to force her to take a new job. It's just a bummer we won't be seeing much of her as we used to since the Office is over and we don't know the next movie she'll do, if any. Plus, even though chances of a hasty response are slim, a hasty response would be excellent if only because of all the stuff in my life that's stressing me out at the moment.

But, of course, this doesn't take into account that I have no idea whether the package made it or if the address doesn't work.

That's a question that can't really be answered. It could be days, weeks, months or years.

I don't agree. Depending on the celeb, you can totally average how long it may take. It depends on who, but for some: you can.

Oh and BTW to those users who keep saying "there is no answer" that's not true...

Mailing to a celeb in your own country will often get you a faster response than when mailing out of country. Most celebs will take an average of 3-5 months for a reply, but many will sign faster. Some successes I've had have taken a week, while others have taken over a year. Many times celebrities will sign only a few a day, so take this into account when wondering why yours isn't back yet. Also take into account that a celebs schedule can affect the delivery time as well...Ex: A request to a former baseball player will probably take a lot less time than a request to an A-List celeb that is filming different movies at any given time. When mailing to a celeb in your own country, always try to include a SASE (Self-Addressed-Stamped-Envelope). This will help to get your reply faster. "

Jenna Fischer I've read, plus based on my own personal experience of getting a photo, has been known to be very gracious with her fans when it comes to signing and taking pictures, but I get a sense that's changing now that she's not regularly working.

It's actually BETTER to send to someone who ISN'T working regularly because you have a better shot to get a success. People like Gaga, Beyonce, Britney (since 2010), Madonna and Taylor S: it's really hard to get them because they STAY working. So stay on the positive side {up}
