For those interested in Scott's autograph, I have bad news:

" To be honest, I think autograph collection is a silly hobby and a big waste of time for all concerned."

Wow, what a lovely man he is. Some might say being a computer scientist famous for inventing a smiley face is equally a waste of time.

I agree with him being an a**.

But he's done a lot more than just inventing the smiley, and I get the feeling that if the fame came from one of his other, more serious projects, he might be more willing to sign..

After all, he is, by no means a stupid man. I'm sure he is aware that it takes more time to email someone a link to that post than to sign an autograph request sent to him with a SASE... It seems to me that it's more likely that he's not happy about going down in history solely for that accomplishment, despite his many others.

But because of that one line, he disgusts me.

No denying that he's done more, but lets be honest, it's what put him in the public eye. Arrogance like that says a lot about a person.
