Re: President Obama (Barack Obama)
Most likely it's a preprint and not an autopen. Like the user above said, preprints are pictures with printed signatures, autopens are made with real ink by a machine.

Very much so... thank you for taking the time to let me know. Much appreciated!dillaMcD wrote:dillaMcD wrote: A PP or pre print means the autograph will be part of the photo itself. No live ink in the signature. An AP or autopen means a machine created the signature using a pen. It will be live ink but not authentic. There will be no flourishes or inconsistencies in the autograph. Easily determined by googling or comparing to known authentic sigs. Will be the same every time. Hope this helpscdlawlor wrote:Thank you for the information. Kennedy has used Autopen to sign letters. I would call this a semi-success because the president does use his autopen to sign documents when he can't sign them in person.

Re: President Obama (Barack Obama)
I seem to remember reading some place (but I can't find it so I could be wrong) that a president will often have multiple signatures in his "autopen file" so just because a signature doesn't exactly match a previous one doesn't mean it's not an autopen. It could be one of several different autopen signatures. An AP or autopen means a machine created the signature using a pen. It will be live ink but not authentic. Re: President Obama (Barack Obama)
It is possible and many a times it is found that the person sending autopen uses different types of pens and of different colours.
You cannot say that it is not an AP kust bcuz its in diff colour or by a diff pen.
This autograph can be a PP or an AP cant say anything for sure.
Best,
Aditya

I don't know but if you'd like I can try again and mail it to you if you want one. Let me know.
I'd like to have one!
I'm from Italy, I tried several times (almost 3-4) and nothing come back.

I sent an email not too long ago, so hopefully I might get something in the mail.qazxcv_1234 wrote:cdlawlor wrote:Djleathal wrote:Anyone had a success outside the US.
