Well, since I was last here, I've been to the hospital last Thursday for an attempted version to get little Sydney turned, but she unfortunately got stuck on my ribcage! So that was a bit of a failure. Thankfully she's gotten really active in the last few days, which might help with turning her *crossing fingers*!

Hi Lisa :D

All fingers will be crossed here! Everything will be fine :) ... you have nothing to worry about {up}

As time is getting really close now, here's hoping Sydney does turn successfully soon :wink:

Take care!

Thanks nowandagain :).

I've heard SO many stories about babies turning at the last minute, that I'm very hopeful {up}. On Tuesday I find out if my doctor will attempt to turn her again (since she's moved to a completely different area now). Also, my chiropractor insists that the Webster technique will work for me (which of course I'm hoping it does!). Supposedly it's 80-90% effective in getting the muscles and joints loosened to the point where breech babies can move...but there again, we'll just have to wait and see :). I've pretty well come to terms with the fact that even if she does turn it DEFINITELY doesn't guarantee that she'll be delivered naturally anyway. I've done it once, so I know things would go fine with a second time, but I'm still secretly hoping that things work out and I get to deliver Sydney naturally {up}.

Hi Lisa :D

Anything can happen from now up to Sydney's birth :D. I guess we can only remain optimistic and hope everything falls into place now ... or right at the last minute :P

Good luck!

Er...I highly recommend parenthood...however, pregnancy isn't always so cool :lol:!

After yesterday's visit we now know that Sydney has decided to flip to the other direction (looking out right now instead of left). For the ultrasound she was in a "C" a little over 1/2 way down, going the right direction. So we're scheduling another version to be done either on Monday or Tuesday next week to see if she might finally be turned. If not, we'll either schedule a C-section for that same day (since I have to have an I.V. anyway and they had a REALLY difficult time with the last version....3 pokes with 2 giant bruises)...or a C-section later next week. If the version works, everything continues on until we need to start talking about being induced. I'm 1 cm dialated and still thick, which the doc said is very normal considering I don't have any fetal body parts down there to get things going. So we're still hoping for the doctor to get her moving in the right direction if she's not going to do it on her own and I'll be sure to keep everyone updated!

Hi Lisa {up}

I can't believe you are almost there !!!!!!

It seems like only last week that you told me you were pregnant, and so much has happened since :D

It looks like little Sydney is going to be a fiesty one :lol: I think she is being intentionally as difficult for you as possible just to get you ready for her arrival :lol: Seriously though, little girls always get their own way (especially where daddies are concerned - I know that from experience!!!)

Best of luck to you all with everything, and I am poised to change your name to elmomommyto2 as soon as your bundle of joy arrives!!!!

:lol: Thanks Ian :). I told my husband it seems like it's been more of a 9 year wait rather than 9 month wait for me ;).

I'm excited that she's almost here and I'm hoping that she's going to behave at the version on Monday. I'm not really looking all that much forward to it, but it's a possible means to an end. I'm not really sure if I'll be game for the immediate C-section if the version doesn't work...but I'm really hoping that she'll turn on her own (especially since she's dropped big time and isn't anywhere near my ribs!). I'll be sure to keep everyone updated...and hopefully I'll have pictures of the little one very soon :D :D :D!!!
