Hello everyone! I just joined the forum.

On Monday, I sent my requests to Amanda Seyfried and Megan Fox (I know I'll be disappointed, but I tried anyway :neutral: )

Today was a good day. I started off the morning getting everything ready for my next five letters. I'm going out of town from Saturday to Wednesday, and several of the photographs I ordered haven't come in yet, so my long-suffering girlfriend graciously agreed to send stuff out as pictures and international reply coupons come in (she's a keeper). Deep Roy, Karen Allen, Joseph Culp, David Suchet, and Dame Judi Dench are all on deck to be sent out.

Got a crazy fast response from Lee Meriwether today: 9-day wait! Definitely the fastest success I ever got. I must have sent out just in time for her to be going through her fan mail requests. Lucky lucky!

This is the best news of all. I've been desperately searching for a way to write to Humbert Allen Astredo, who played evil warlock Nicholas Blair on Dark Shadows in the 60s. I finally am in touch with someone who is willing to forward my letter on to him. I gasped when I got the e-mail. I haven't moved so fast to get to the post office in years! I would be one happy little fan boy if I got back the two items I sent...but even if I don't, I'm thrilled I FINALLY got the chance to tell him how much I enjoyed his work.

Nothing today, but got a success from Jeff Foxworthy yesterday. I just sent him a nice hand-written letter, and got a letter back from him mentioning something specific from my letter, and a personalized 8x10 photo! Nice guy!

Nothing this week in the mail. I have Saturday off from work and should be able to catch up on some baseball requests that I have hanging around.

Nothing today, and I'm out of town til Wednesday. Should I hope for a big stack of stuff when I come home?

My friend Lucy is off at the Dark Shadows convention today through Sunday. I sent her a House of Dark Shadows repro poster to get signed by everyone, and a David Selby/Quentin trading card. Can't wait for that!

Got a report from my friend about the Dark Shadows convention. The actors are all signing for free, unless you're buying a photo from them. I wish I was there!!

So far, she's managed to get Kathryn Leigh Scott, Lara Parker, David Selby, and Marie Wallace to sign my House of Dark Shadows poster (Scott is the only one in the movie, but I thought it would be a great, easy way to get everyone), a photo of Parker for $20, a photo of Selby for $5, plus he signed a trading card I also sent along.

Tomorrow she's hoping for John Karlen and Jerry Lacey.

Jonathan Frid is there, but not signing If you attend a banquet for $50, you get a signed photo of him. I already have two autographs from him, so no biggie.
