The fact is, theres nothing wrong with writing to the same person more than once, even doing it 3, 4, 5 times is ok. HOWEVER this is as long as its done over a long period of time (ie - 4 times over 3 years, for example).

BUT when someone writes to the same person 5 times in 3 months, or 12 times in less than a year (genuine examples of a certain member on here), then that is ridiculous.

The worse part is hes a Moderator, who SHOULD be setting an example.

But do you know what REALLY gets on my nerves?

I was banned (as Andy316) for complaining to admin about promoting TMs who shouldnt be promoted - one of those was Shaun.

I hate to say I told you so, but......I did.

Maybe if decisions on promotions were made for the good of the board, rather than just to make people happy, the forum would be better than it currently is.

In closing, demote Shaun. His abuse of celebs is pathetic.

Oh, and Shaun, if you delete this post, it proves my point

I agree with your views, the david Tennants which is up to 13 success's (8 from his mod ID and 5 from the new one) is from venue he's only been there what 2 months?

Yes, thats what I was banned for. I kept telling admin not to promote "poor" TMs and he banned me for it, then he decided to add the reason of I was "posting unhelpful stuff all over the forum" which is complete and utter nonsense.

And yeah, hes spammed the heck out of David Tennant, its a joke.

Thanks. Unfortunatel being a good member, trying to the right thing for th forum and being online and frequently checking the forum for 50+ hours a week isnt enough to stop me geting banned. LOL

I completely agree, it's amazing so many people still sign if they get bombarded by the same people within a short space of time.

I've luckily never had to try writing to various addresses, so I've never had multiple successes that way. But that's just an unexpected surprise I suppose. No-one can really plan something like that if you're already unsure if the address is correct.

It's been 4 years since I wrote to Ian McKellen. I'm considering writing again as he is one of my absolute favourite actors and his autograph is my pride and joy. A bit late to say "thank you" though, lol.

I'm really surprised this is mainly the work of a mod though. Unacceptable from any member but a mod should be setting a good example, not a bad one.

Well, if you check feedback from Edwin Van der Sar, you can see more than 10 successes in a year from the same member, similar numbers from David Tennant (around 80% of the Via Venue successes from him are from that member, if you count both his IDs (he set up a new one to stop everyone thinking he had sent AGAIN, yet in a matter of minutes he was 'found out' and he still denies having two accounts.
