You holding off by a week doesn't necessarily guarantee you getting anything, especially if the actor you sent to possibly decides to sign everything at the end of filming which if there's still a month left then the pile will be HUGE! I mean I'm just saying. Really with a forum so large its hard to keep the addresses off and yes its about requesting and sharing them, but you have to consider how many thousands read these boards, and how many thousands will try the addy just for the sake of trying it unlike many of us who are truly interested in some of the cast.
I'm certainly not mad or anything, just stating a point.

Re: What's Your Number? (2011)
that isnt the point, I only sent mine last week from here in Australia so they are probably still on their way. waiting a week means nothing. hopefully you havent just ruined everyone's chances who sent requests there. Me and alot of other people dont pay alot of money for addresses for someone to post them for free. I will gladly share addresses with people who want to know them but not in a public forum for non-collectors to use.SilentEcho219 wrote:That's why I held off posting it until a week after I sent mine out. Didn't think it would be fair to send it to select people via PM. Besides, the whole point of this forum is to request addresses? Aren't we supposed to post them?purplemonkey wrote:You guys gotta stop posting addresses all over these boards. Nobody is going to get anything because there are THOUSANDS who read these topics and then your chances of anything are shot.
really happy your requests made it though. nice work.

The problem is that people will take address from here and post them on their website and on other messageboard as well.
And you also don't know when the actor will be on a set, you may have written a week ago, but maybe the actor or actress wasn't on set this week.
I can't remember what theatre play it was, but it was one in Australia. The address was posted on this board, but I decided to give them a call and asked about their policy with fanmail. They told me they already got over 2000 letters waiting. And as far as I can remember no-one received an answer from this play.

I wasn't aware that there were pay-for places to obtain these addresses. I found this address after doing a Google search and looking through a few pages until I found this, which had a letter to residents about filming in the area and the production office address at the bottom.ScottJ wrote:Me and alot of other people dont pay alot of money for addresses for someone to post them for free. I'm new to this. Just started writing to people three weeks ago. I didn't know that they might hold off until the end of filming.
I kinda feel like shit now.

Yea they usually do. Please PM the person next time you are sharing, even if you can find it on Google this website gets thousands of views a week from both registered and non-registered users. Many people do pay large amounts of money for address lists (I have one that is almost $400 yearly).SilentEcho219 wrote:I wasn't aware that there were pay-for places to obtain these addresses.
