Im stuck in the middle. I hope there is.
that reminds me of a joke that points out your dilemma:

Scientists have announced that we no longer need God -- by creating life from simple dirt. In response God was quoted as saying "Get your own dirt"

It always reinforces that no matter what scientists seem to prove they will never answer the ultimate question, which for me is what makes me a believer.
I believe in God, too, and this is a good reason. {up}

Too be rational and honest, religion is highly illogical in pretty much every single aspect.

Can't say I do. As a scientist-in-training I think the history we're still finding out is much more interesting than the idea that some magical being came along and just made stuff. If you think about it though, it wasn't that long ago that people believed the Earth was flat, so I'm pretty sure we'll find the answers to the 'big questions' before too long, but then it gets boring again doesn't it? :lol: Nothing wrong with uncertainty, it doesn't prove or disprove a God that at this point in our history we can't fully explain the first second of the universe's existance, it just shows that more physicists will spend hours working out equations like the crazy people they are!

I definitely do believe in God. I am Catholic. I don't think science can answer everything.

not to offend, but Christan religions are stolen from earlier religions almost story from story. The resurrection, the cross, the virgin birth, the disciples, and if i remember correctly even the walking on water.. the list goes on.

I don't care. I still believe. Nobody can make me feel otherwise.

I wish I could feel like that.

Until someone can prove to me that God exists, I would rather choose to believe the scientists who spent their entire lives and minds to study evolution and genetics.
Besides, I think that religion should be based around tolerating the beliefs of other people and treating everyone equally, because, as someone said earlier, we are all searching for something higher than ourselves, whether it be god or dark matter or chaos theory or whatever. {up}
