Hi Larsie,
So are you saying we should have more moderators?

I understand where you are coming from but surely we don't need TM's with 9 posts! Surely a TM's that doesn't know what TTM stands for cannot do much help! Surely we can't have TM's that haven't been on this site for 1 year!

We are in need for quality Mods/ TM's, and perhaps quantity. But I think if we are recruiting un qualified TM's - no matter how many of them we recruit, no matter how many of those names turns blue; it still wouldn't be of much benefit to fanmail.biz.

Just some thoughts,

Well, in my opinion there is a lot being left undone and things not getting tended to (mostly why I would think Admin says there aren't enough moderators). I can't be specific right now due to time restraints but I do see this in a few forums, not sure about the rest. Of course, one of the problems right now is the toolbar which is giving mods viruses, but thats not under our control, that's something admin needs to fix so we can be more helpful on the feedback front.

I definitely never said we needed more TMs with 9 posts. I agree with you on everything you stated. I personally never agreed to how the system is with any member being able to become a TM. I always liked our previous system (which I won't get into).

Once again, I agree with all your opinions regarding quality TMs/mods. :D

Not just the fact that a TM with 9 posts was accepted (Footballcards), but also the fact that he was added to our [Zanne's] team is crazy (she had no idea until I reformatted the Team Member list). Also, I updated the list I made slightly, and so if you find any new members that should be added to the list read the last post I made HERE.

EDIT: since everyone still is having issues with the toolbar I decided to make an instructional guide on how to update Feedback it without the Moderator Toolbar. This is just for those of us Moderators who were authorized by admin to add people to the drawing and update the database. You can find it here: HOW TO UPDATE FEEDBACK WITHOUT THE MODERATOR'S TOOLBAR

I am appalled by celeb123. He has posted so many questions that he should know as a TM (like the most recent thread - Is it impolite not to send an IRC) and most of his posts consist of "Congrats! Great Success!" even in the SFM forum!

I know alot of us have been a little upset with the tm system. But I had to lock a topicv because a tm in his feedback post got rudely asked why he is a tm then another mod call the person an idiot. Now I know we are upset but we dont let it go into the boards. If other members see people acting foolishly then what makes them think they cant do the same? Especially coming from Mods? What example is that?

I've been watching some topics closely. I feel that there needs to be more experienced moderators. So yes we need more moderators everywhere on the board. But moderators should be selected carefully. Although i don't believe that moderators (TM) should be allowed to be tm's with only 18 posts and such we shouldn't be lashing out at them for wanting to help. I was really stunned at how one topic got so out of hand when a moderator made a not so nice comment about why they were a tm. The answer is, they asked, admin said yes. If you have an issue, talk to admin about it. We all hear you on this issue, but the only thing that we can do is ask admin. I know some will throw back at me and say nothing will be done. But..why cause more trouble when you can go to the sources themselves and make your opinion heard? I just don't want to see any moderators in trouble.

I think what should happen is when a member asked to be a TM admin should ask who's team they would like to be in. Then the global mod and their moderators should decide on what should happen along with admin. i hope that makes some sense. Seems like what we're doing now but with a little more initial input from the team they wish to join.

I think this has gotten too out of hand. I hate how unorganized it is. Matt had updated the list and it shows that Peyton, who moderates a forum, is no longer registered?
JANUARY SUCCESSES:: Jennette McCurdy, Nathan Kress, Shawn Johnson, Rob Schneider, Nikki Reed.

It surely doesnt make him an idiot as you decided to call him and It should have never been brought up to the tm or in the feedback section in the first place. It is not the members fault he was accepted as a tm. If someone threw up the fact that I was a mod with only so many posts I too would get a little aggresive. Its not his fault. And Us as mods and globals have to remember that. The decision is admins like chrissy said. Sorry if it seems Im coming off rude but us mods and global mods need to set an example. We want these forums to be the best out there. Not being known as a place where you will be given a hard time because you want to help. I dont agree with how many posts some of these people have and become trainees, but its not my forum.
