How they do it? They pay a celeb to sign copies which will only be sold exclusively through the website they own. At a base price of £9.99 or £8.99. This is for CDs. Putting the CDs up for pre order ensures they sell out before the release date, generating money for the artist, and a higher promotional gain in charts and publicity for the album. Play.com will pay a decent amount for each one, knowing the price will intise the buyer into spending, and will generate more traffic to the website and other products they sell.
Its smart buying and selling that makes play.com arguably the biggest online site in Britain and Europe (they are part of the Ratuken group who own priceminister etc)
So yes, you idiots who doubt a company who sell millions of good daily, really must take a look at yourselves and think "am I really that stupid?"
COULD NOT HAVE PUT THIS BETTER MYSELF!!!
I wish people would just stop commenting "fake" and other stuff on my post, when I know for a fact that Play.com sell genuine authentic copies! They wouldnt risk their reputation of biggest online entertainment shopping site in Britain!! If you dont have anything nice to say, dont say it at all, simples!! but thanks to everyone who's defending this success!
