Do You Include Your PHONE NUMBER?

When you write letters do you ever include your phone number?
I always do and I have recieved a few surprise phone calls.
The first one came from SHEILA E. That one totally caught me off gaurd and I had to sit down for it. At first I was like..yeah, right? But she did call me and was talking to me about my letter and updates on her. I was in awww.

Since then, I have also recieved phone calls from DMC (of RUN DMC), Lisa Lisa, and Chaka Khan

very nice that you have been received phone calls never thought they would do that..but no i dont..man to reciece a phone call from DMC that would be the best!

Not usually. I think I have in the past but I've never received a phonecall. I bet you after seeing this thread a lot more people will start including their phone #'s now

Wow, that's cool.
No good for me though since I barely know what to say in a letter, never mind on the phone!! I'd only create an akward silence, then kick myself afterwards by thinking of things I could've said or asked

I send most of my requests to the USA so there wouldn't be a lot of point in including my number and I would probably make a complete pratt out of myself on the phone if a celebrity called me

I do, but not on every letter. If it's an older athlete who has been out of the limelight for a while, I will. Or if I send a gift, or a drawing to have signed, etc.

Really, anything I think the person may want to ask me something about what I sent or wrote,and doesn't want to wait on the mail correspondence.

I've received several phone calls over the years. As a matter of fact, I got call not too long ago from former Oakland Raider-and Super Bowl winner-George Buehler. I didn't include my number on that one, but he tracked down my mother (same last name in the same town) and called her. She gave him my cell number and luckily I had no reception when he called, as I was working. He left a long and funny voicemail (which I kept until that phone died on me), because he had found my package after three years,and it included a couple drawings. I called him back and we talked for about a half hour about the Raiders in the sixties and seventies. It was amazing!

Another one I really enjoyed was Mosi Tatupu. He used to play for the Patriots in the 70's, and his son, Lofa is now on the Seattle Seahawks. I had sent a gift and he called to thank me. The awesome part of it was that he called as he was packing his bags to fly to Detroit because the Seahawks and Lofa were playing in the Super Bowl! They showed him (Mosi) several times during the broadcast, and it was really cool knowing I had just talked to him a couple days before. Afterwards, I was thinking, as I saved his number in my cell, what if I called him and he pulled his phone out on national TV while the cameras were on. IT would be a story no one would believe, or care about but me!

No I have never included my phone number, partly because I dont think any of the celebs I write to would call me. Another reason is, I wouldnt want my letter being read by secretaries (rather than the celeb) etc and I would fear my number would get in the wrong hands lol

Heres a thought, I once sent a request to a person with the same name as the celebrity
and they looked up my name and return address on http://www.whitepages.com and called to tell me it wasn't them I was looking for. Once your name and address is out there anyone can look you up. It was freaky!

I never include my phone number, and don't think I ever will. You never know where your phone number might end up, and once it's out there, it's hard to get rid of pesky sales calls and stuff.

It's nice you got some celebrities to call you though, but I think it's probably rare for them to do so.
