I'm a little confused, isn't the point of this website to show who you have been successful in getting autographs through the mail so other people can also try if they like that person? So why would you post a successful TTM and then say its a private address? What's the point? Seems just stupid to me.
... so, essentially, you've missed the point twice.
Anyway, please remember the rules:
"Forum rules
Please do not forget to include the celebrity's name, the address, and the sent & received dates. Celeb should be ok to receive fan mail at the address used"
Nobody is required to post anything - I believe that the point Jabstyle was trying to make is that there is no need to post your successes if no one else can benefit from them.
If you really wanted it you could message me and ask for it or do your research like I did and find out the address yourself. There are plenty of people who don't post house addresses.
posting a house address is a sure way to get an address become unsuccessful quickly just like Brian Johnson did because of all the mail he received.
... yes, I'm well aware that I can do my own research - I have over 1,000 autographs because I do know how. I also know how to PM - I just don't choose to do so.
Your point seems to be that posting addresses in a public forum will ruin the usefulness of the address. That may very well be, but the title of this forum is "Fanmail.biz Database" - assumedly so that there can be shared information that people can use - and the risk is always there that if everyone uses the database, then none of the addresses will be good for very long.
My point is that if you want to make an "I've got something you don't, but if you ask me I'll tell you where I got it" post, that's your privilege. I just don't think that was the idea of this forum.
