(The blonde one in the picture is BRANDI BURKHARDT, Frank Wildhorn (the composer)'s current fiance and star of A TALE OF TWO CITIES...the musical on Broadway!
After rumored for a while to not do fanmail (and she stopped Stage Dooring for LB some time ago, but every so often would? Not my luck..), I sent again with a SASE this time, and !
Kate Shindle made her Broadway debut in Frank Wildhorn's Jekyll & HYDE: The Musical in 1999 as the understudy for the leading female role of Lucy Harris, understudying Luba Mason and Coleen Sexton. Kate left before the show was filmed starring David Hasselhoff & Coleen Sexton, however. Kate previously was Miss America 1998, with her talent being no other than singing. Shindle returned to Broadway in the 2000s with the CABARET Revival. In 2004, she worked with Frank Wildhorn, Rob Evan, and Wildhorn's future fiance Brandi Burkhardt (and before Lauren Kenedy) in Jekyll & HYDE: The Ressurection. What began as a concert tour turned into a CD, with new orchestrations which have lead hopes of a film version of perhaps Wildhorn's best musical.
Kate originated the role of Vivienne in the 2007 Broadway production of LEGALLY BLONDE: THE MUSICAL, being seen on the MTV Broadcast, as well as the reality series "LEGALLY BLONDE: THE MUSICAL: THE SEARCH FOR THE NEXT ELLE WOODS" in 2008. She stayed from the February tryout in San Francisco all the way through the closing on October 19, 2008.
It appears Ms. Shindle just kept all of her fanmail until now, now that LB is closed and she has free time!
Address is unfortunately no longer valid. With the mixture of some bad sales (partially due to the economy!) and the West Side Story revival wanting the Palace Theatre, Legally Blonde closed on October 19, 2008.
