Its a beautiful piece :) But I did work in an autograph store that specialized in baseball autographs and to me that piece is just all wrong. The 'R' in Ruth is completely off and the ball just doesnt look right with the autograph. THATS JUST MY OPINION :D Heres a Real Babe Ruth autograph to compare to, I think you'll notice the differences straight away.
Thanks,
SASOON.

I agree, but I can't truly say it is fake by all means!

Are you planning on getting a COA with it in the future? That would be my recomendation for you.

God Bless,

Josh

Check out this signed fan letter I found. It is hilarious! You can compare the signature and the 'Sincerely' {up}

I've seen a couple TV specials on Babe Ruth autograph forgers extrodinaire; and i've read into it a bit online.
there was one gentleman several years ago, who, ingeniously devised a way of making forgeries on baseballs. He aged the balls down to a "smell", also perfeting colour, gloss, wear/tear(it was hit by a bat or something). They were signed by an expert forger, and one of the only reason thathe was caught was a paper trail...i mean someone ratted him out not the autographs were authentic. He is one of the most "famous" sports forgers.
that being said, you should have it authenticated, because the "ungodly" price may be too mych, in which case you could get your money back. spend the $60or so to see if your suspicions are correct.

good luck and i hope that it is actually authentic {thumb2}

It looks pretty much the same to me because dont forget writing on a curved baseball your holding is diff than writing on flat paper on a hard surface...

Your right. I got NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. to sign a baseball for me and his autograph was very huge and wrote a different way as well. (Also, from my experience getting baseballs signed, every autograph look a little different on the ball.

I think it is actually authentic my friend!

Looking at the box (national league ball) and the red stitching of the ball. It has to be signed on a Ford Frick baseball which is a good sign( Is it?) as alot of forgers signed his name on items after he passed away. I've been looking at this signature since you posted it and I am not convinced it's authentic.
