This Saturday and Sunday , been to the Cheltenham Literary Festival . Some great actors and writers there - and had some good successes and some failures ...
First up was Melvyn Bragg , from The South Bank Show and also a writer - managed to get a few ( well , 8 ) books signed by him .
Next was Michael Palin - got 2 books and my Time Bandits DVD cover signed ( now signed by 4 ) - had a load , but they decied when we got there that he would only sign his new book
. Have to be chuffed with what I got though 
Next was Robert Vaughan of The Man From Uncle and I had loads of stuff - managed to get 8 Man From Uncle pbs and my autograph book signed - fantastic - very nice , but very quiet {thumb2}
Lastly on Saturday , met Stephen Fry - managed to get six books and my A Civil Action video cover ( now signed by 2 ) done - very friendly , really enjoyed meeting him .
Didn't try to meet Judi Dench - have nothing left for her to sign - and , as it happens , I don't think she did any signing
Sunday was very much less eventful and effective . Did manage to meet writers Kate Mosse and Stella Rimington ( once head of MI5 ) , and also spin doctor Alistair Campbell ( who is a fan of the same football team as me ) , but met author and Oscar Winner John Irving , who wouldn't sign anything
All in all , a good couple of days , most chuffed with Stephen Fry ( for the first time ) and Michael Palin ( for the third )
