Abuse of Generous Celebrities or No Big Deal?
Here's a discussion topic for you:
I've noticed recently a lot of multiple success postings, i.e. a collector sending to the same celeb multiple times, usually via venue. This has been most apparent with Britney Spears, but also at A Steady Rain and other venues. People are sending three, sometimes seven times to the same celeb.
What do you think about this? Is it
a) apparently fine since the celeb is happily signing everything; if they had a problem with it they'd stop signing
b) an abuse of a celebrity's generosity that may end up hurting other collectors if the celebs feel inundated
c) other opinion, such as maybe the multiple requests were sent because the collector thought their letters wouldn't go through, in which case how do you feel about them not waiting before re-sending?
Personally, I think sending more than twice is over the top. Why do you need so many autographs of the same person? I can understand if perhaps the first autograph received was damaged or hard to read (dark on dark); then a second attempt is justified.

Interesting discussion.
I do think it's a bit greedy - even if the person is a big fan and already had something signed. I've heard of people writing up to 10 times to the same person. Now seriously, do you need everything by that person signed?

I haven't sent more than once, and I really don't see the need to, unless the first one came back bent/ripped/etc.
Re: Abuse of Generous Celebrities or No Big Deal?
Then I Guess People Have Different Things They Wanna Send..Meaning Quantity.
If Someone Wants To send a Person 10 Times Thats Their Business...I Mean Thats Has Nothing To Do With You ...
I Respect Your Opinions Because Thats What You Think But Some Others Wont....lol. I Dont Let What You Say Bother Me....Thats My Collection And I Love It So ;)

I have no problem with people sending 2-3 times VIA VENUE, if it is for the genuine reason that they fear not getting feedback. If I had more disposible income I would do that, but in my letter, I would point out to the celeb I have written before
Best successes: Gal Gadot, Jennifer Lawrence, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Rachel McAdams
Best Responses: Freida Pinto, Gemma Arterton, Berenice Marlohe, Jeremy Renner
Recent successes: Connie Nielsen, Ursula Corbero, Daniela Melchior, Kate Beckinsale, Amber Heard

Re: Abuse of Generous Celebrities or No Big Deal?
I hate it when people repeatedly write to the same celebrity VV (or to the same venue IP). Now, if say the celebrity went on and did another tour the next year, or was in theatre again for a different play, I think that's different. Sure, have at it. But writing 2+ letters to the same venue in short succession is definitely abuse of the address.
Favourite: David Tennant IP, John Barrowman IP, Patrick Stewart IP, Catherine Tate VV.
Newest: John Simm IP, Suranne Jones IP, Jonathan Groff IP.

As people have said, I think that one item per address should be the limit.
There is a reason for writing to numerous venues, as it increases the chances of the celeb getting the letter, pic, request, etc. Again, if I were doing that, I would limit myself to one item per venue and not put 6 things in each envelope!

On Via Venue, I agree with Jaffer because sending to 2 to 3 venues will increase the chance of getting something back.
On standard TTM, my opinion is that if you have a success, move on to the next, sending multiple times is being greedy.
