It all depends. You can't send them a SASE as stamps are considered contraband. Obviously if you can't provide cash or stamps it decreases your chances. The inmate will need to use their own money (if they have any on the books), so they won't waste their own money to simply sign an autograph. If they like your letter and feel it deserves a reply they will write you back at their own expense.

Peersonally I don't bother with them. I understand why you would want them, they are major parts of history. That said i don't trust them, they are locked up but have insane groupies and siko "friends" on the outside I certainly don't want having any of my info, especially my address.

If you want the graph bad enough call the prison and see if you can put money on that persons "books". If they allow it mail the prison the $ and then in the letter you write to the inmate tell them you put $$$ on their books so they can use it for a stamp and keep the rest for their commisary (goods they buy like soap, twinkies, candy bars, magazines, ect). That should result in a reply for you.

P.S. Some are not allowed to have pencils or pens, so they might not even be allowed to respond, also if they are on some kind of punishment for bad behavior they might have their phone/mail privledges revoked.

Writing them is not a good idea at all. I remember on a thread posted a while back someone said that their home address was passed all around the jail and was getting tons of mail form inmates. Which if you think about it can be kinda scary. Just be careful when doing this.

I've received two letters from Clifford Olson,
I wrote to robert pickton and allen legere, but haven't received a response, It's been too long, I probably won't.

I'm expecting one from richard rameriaz and herbert muiller.

:( whats the point in glorifying a killer ?,anyone can do what they did,i would prefer to write to the families that they screwed up and congratulate them on getting on with their lives after their loved one was removed from the planet.absolutely pointless and sick.

I just find that kind of weird to write to them...and about the address thing. If you live in North Dakota, like me, and say them in New York, its not really like they would drive all the way out here to kill me or something, lol. They can just kill their next door neighbor. I wouldn't write to them, but I understand why you would, even if it is kind of odd.

I do find it kind of weird like some others here do, but I can understand why one would collect them. Everyone's got their own thing, and niche autograph collections do make this hobby a lot more interesting.

Still, what mwo925 posted is certainly not something I want to happen.

There's plenty of people in prison worth writing for various reasons. I've never written a killer but I've sent to George Jung, TI, Lil Wayne, Lil Kim, and soon Bernie "Ponzie" Madoff.

Like I said; I'm afraid of writing a killer, I just wanted to give some advice to the OP.
