wizarding world of HP on grand opening day?

i'm going to be there and i was wondering if any other collectors are? i'm a huuuuge harry potter fan and i'm not really sure what to expect on this day! it's june 18th in orlando, florida at universal studios

I really wanted to! However I live in London, so no such luck, haha.

In addition it's reported the composer of the films, John Williams, will be at the grand opening with a full choir and orchestra.

Celebrities who won't be there:
Helena Bonham Carter
Gary Oldman

Theme Park site Behind the Thrills is reporting that guests will not be allowed into the area where the grand opening ceremonies are taking place. There are large screens set up in front of the park and near Three Broomsticks in the Wizarding World. So if you go, you may not get to see the stars in person.

The media events begin on Wednesday and run through Friday. Some of the events, will be open to the public. While other events during the three days may be private. It’s possible some celebrities could be at one event and not others. Major media from all over the world are expected to attend. NBC’s Today Show will be broadcasting live Friday morning.

If I were you, I would arrive sometime in the middle of the night or the day before to get in line as I assume it will be packed.

Also thanks for the info, I knew about the stars but I have a feeling that parkgoers will be able to get a glimpse of them at least. They're very polite and always treat their fans with gratitude in public, but who knows how it will go down! I'm just wondering if anyone else here is going to go! We're definitely camping out Thursday night.
