HELP - HOW MANY IRC STAMPS TO I NEED TO INCLUDE? - UK TO USA

I'm from the UK and sending out to the USA soon, I'm getting some IRC's soon and want to know how many I should include?

I send a 9 X 12 bubble envelope with and 8 X 10 bubble envelope inside to return the autograph.

The 8 X 10 envelope is just as I said a normal envelope with bubble wrap padding inside, so how many IRC's do I need to include? 1 or 2?

It depends on weight generally, when I write to USA celebrities (from UK) I include one IRC, but that is because I use normal standard envelopes. As you are using bubble envelopes, I would recommend sending 2 IRC's to be on the safe side. A lot of the time, if 2 IRC's are sent, and only 1 is needed, the celebrity/agent tend to post the spare one back, although this is not for definite.

hi i live in the uk and send mail to the us all of the time and i only use 1 international reply coupons, i have had 3 replys from the us and one coupon has been enough for each and i use a4 envelopes so generally 1 coupon is always enough

You need to weigh the return envelope and check usps for the price. Your packet will count as a parcel so check those rates http://ircalc.usps.gov/
For a 8X10 board envelope I had to send 3 coupons.

One IRC will be worth $0.75 of postage. The USPS prices are per ounce. Once you have the weight, use the calculator to see the cost and work out your IRC's from there.

One IRC is worth one x the minimum Airmail letter cost whatever the country. For the USA that cost is $0.98.

My apoligies, it seems $0.75 is the minimum airmail cost in the USA, not $0.98.

Actually, your original statement was correct - it is $0.98

The IRC has to be able to cover the letter being sent to any country, which $0.98 will do. $0.75 only covers Canada and Mexico if I'm not mistaken.
