New to the boards
Just thought I would introduce myself. After reading some information on getting some autographs I found the site quite awesome! I had been wanting to send away for some autographs and had to find out what was what and also to see who was worth my time. Anyways I wouldn't say I am a BIG time collector but looks like a fun hobby and a lot cheaper than my others. Anyways I live in VT not a whole lot of action around here. I've attended conventions and had to pay $20-$30 per autograph which got wicked expensive. Figured I'd make a small list of people I have. I'm also a film student going for a BFA in Film so hope to work with some of these famous people down the road. Looking forward to getting to know everyone.
My list all my autos are in person
Kane Hodder- Friday the 13th 7-10
Robert Englund- Nightmare on Elm St
PJ Soles- Halloween
Michael Christopher- Dawn of the dead 78
CJ Grahm- Friday the 13th 6
Liana Quigley- ROTD
Heather langencamp- Nightmare on Elm st
Chris Sarandon- Fright Night
William Ragsdale- Fright Night
Amanda Bearse- Fright Night
Gunner Hansen- TX chainsaw massacre
John Saxon - Enter the Dragon
Michael Barryman- Hills have eyes
Miko Hughes- Pet Semetary
Lou Perryman- TX chainsaw massacre 2
Jim Carrey- Me Myself and Irene
Alex Rod- NYY
Jason Giambi- NYY
I almost forgot!
I have the cast from Broken Lizard they signed my Super Tropper Poster
I got a bulk of my autos at TX fear fest in 2008. Jim Carrey was filming Me Myself and Irene a block away from where I was living and a bunch of us walked to his trailer which was 2 minutes from the set and he signed 8 autographs for us, a real nice guy. I got Arod and Giambi while I was in Orlando at Legends field, they signed my baseball. I missed DJ by 3 minutes.

Welcome to the hobby!
Autograph collecting can be expensive and time consuming. At least for me it is.

Yeah I thought it might be a bit different than collecting magic cards, that was expensive! They call that cardboard crack lol. I've made my list I am going to send out about 15-20 at once this way will get some back in shorter periods. I will have to scan pictures of my current auto's for people to check out.

Re: New to the boards
welcome to the boards! i am so jealous with the carrey auto! he is my favorite actor!
i've abandoned my card collecting and replaced the need with this hobby. the money i spend on this hobby does not hold a candle to card collecting. i spend probably $40 a month on this hobby and i spent 3-$400 a month on card collecting.
i am enjoying the added $$$ laying around while getting great autos.

Re: New to the boards
Thank you for the comments. The horror guys I had to pay for at $20 a piece some $30 at a convention. But it was worth it. Kane Hodder was I would have to say by far the best. He signed F13th box set and the ink ran so for the $20 he signed the dvd, a photo, and my BTK dvd insert. Robert signed my Freddy glove.
I got really really lucky with Jim Carrey, I've seen that he does PP auto's on the same photo which I can remember in middle school LOL. But he filmed about 2 minutes from where I used to live at the Ethen Allan Motel. A bunch of us got to watch them film the scene where they check into the motel and the guy laughs at him in front of the soda machine. I knew the production trailer was right down the street so when he left a bunch of us walked there and he was awesome about signing someone didnt like that I had my camera and shouted No pictures. He really didn't say a whole lot, but was awesome non the less.

Here's my upload tonight signed Yankee baseball

Jason Giambi
AROD
